  1. I did clear liquids for 2 days post-op, then full liquids for one week, then was allowed to advance to pureed/soft foods, like scrambled eggs, oatmeal, puddings, yogurts for one week. I tolerated that well so I will be able to advance to all mushies for one week, then on to regular foods. Yay! I have not had any problems with any particular foods yet. The first week post-op, I really had no appetite at all. Hang in there!
  2. I'm 5 days away from surgery and I'm getting nervous, too. I have my pre-op physical with my PCP tomorrow, then I will have completed all of the requirements for this whole ordeal. It's been an 18 month process. I am ready to get it done, but anxious as well. I'm on day 9 of the 1200 calorie, high protein liquid diet and it's getting old. The protein drinks really do help curb the physical sense of hunger, but the head hunger/cravings are still there. Hang in there, rock_bottom_enthusiast!
  3. Hi. Just trying to get my ticker loaded on my page. Yes, I did it!

I'm tired of being tired and absent from all of my family photos. I'm ready to get my life back! #7. Do you have the support of family and friends? Definitely, my son and husband are there for me and my coworkers are behind me, too! #8. Concerns and questions? I'm 5 days away from surgery and getting nervous, but I'm so ready for this!
  5. Thanks! I'll have to check out the ticker tutorial! I would love to watch the progress I plan to make.
  6. Hello, everyone! Just wanted to post my first thread on here and introduce myself. I finally got a surgery date of 2/9/10 after 18 months of pre-op requirements and 2 appeals to the insurance. Grrrr! I am so excited and can't wait to utilize this site for the much needed support that I am going to need. Wish me luck! Thanks, Lynn P.S. I created a weight loss ticker, but how do you put it on your thread? Help, please.
