I've been overweight all of my adult life.  Did every diet possible.  As I got older, it was so much harder.  I think the straw that broke the camel's back was when my oldest daughter got married last May.  I had a year and a half to lose the weight, which I did, maybe 15 pounds or so...big deal!  I was tipping the scale at 152 after her wedding, which wasn't acceptable to me.  When I saw the pictures I was so upset and always knew I didn't want to be that big for my daughter's wedding.  I made a call to the surgeon two weeks after the wedding and haven't looked back!  I'm 6 months post-op and 42 pounds down.  I'm now looking forward to my second daughter's wedding next fall.
