1. Hey all, So its been almost 1 weeks since I was banded and things are coming along great, pain is getting less and less even though today I had to go to walgreens and get me some liquid tylenol. I am still struggling with the eating thing, it's gonna sound weird but I am finding it hard to tell the difference between being hungry and full, my stomach is doing the same type of grumble for both, it's confusing and painful. Is anyone else having this issue? For kjd612 I am doing Boost drinks with high protein and I love them.
2. I am officially a BANDSTER BUNNIE, I was banded on the 13th. I doing well today,(Thank God) the first couple of days were rough on me, while the band was being placed the doctor saw that I had a hernia and had to repair it and I honestly believe that has been causing me the most pain, the gas in the chest isn't fun either, but I haven't let that mess with my positive attitude. I am keeping my head high and so looking forward to going shopping for cute clothes and wearing a cute bathsuit this summer!!! Congrats to all that have been banded and Good luck to all who are awaiting their turns.
3. Yay, Tomorrow is my day....I am nervous but believe it or not the only thing I am nervous about is that they will go in there and say my liver is too big, I have been doing great on the pre op diet but that is my fear! Good luck to all that are getting banded this week and the following weeks:biggrin::thumbup:
4. Hey happytrucker I also live in albany, ga, my date is the 13th of april! Good luck
5. Well its like a extremely low carb diet...too make it easy nothing white, no white bread, no regular Pasta, no sweets...pretty much no sugars!! but we went to the store yesterday and found a bunch of things that I can eat and still yummy, its just all about portion control and not snacking as much. I am a boredom eater so the not snacking every time I want is the only thing killing me. I will over come this I know it!!! Thanks for the support. Glad I have people to share this experience this with and share my new life with!!!
6. So today was day 1 of my sugar buster diet and boy am I super hungry, but day 1 is over and I did really well. I have a really awesome supportive husband that is doing the diet with me, even though he is in awesome shape and doesn't need to diet...True love!!!
7. April 13th is my date, just did my pre op and meeting with the surgeon today. Starting my sugar buster diet and praying that goes well. I started my process in sept of last year, but had a couple of things hinder me from getting it done right away(stomach flu), my original date was feb 9th, but I believe in everything happens for a reason. Super excited to share all my process and read about all yours as well.
8. That's great!!! I don't know if you know but there is a website that you can go on and check your status of your request! Cause sometimes you will have already been approved and they take their sweet time calling you. Humana Military Healthcare Services. Good luck:biggrin:
9. All I have to say is "You go girl"!!! I feel the same way you do! I am a Marine Wife and just got Tricare approved 1/15/2010. I am scheduled to be banded on 4/13/2010. :smile2:
10. Hi all, I am also a military wife and so far Tricare has been awesome, I was approved my first time. I started the process back in sept 09 with getting a refered from my pc doctor, to the seminar to going to my consultation. The longest part for me was waiting on the hospital to gather all my paper work and submit it to Tricare. Once they faxed everything to Tricare I was approved in less then 72 hrs. I actually got a surgery date for the 9th of feb but got sick with a stomach virus, so couldn't do the pre op and stuff. My new date is 4/13/2010. I am so excited!!! I hope it goes as fast for you as did for me!! :smile2:
11. Hello, I live in Georgia and have Tricare Prime South, I have recently been approved to be banded and it took less then 72hrs for them to approve it. The hospital itself was the one that took the longest to gather the paperwork and submit it. I am scheduled to have surgery the 13th of April. I was scheduled earlier then that but got a horrible stomach flu and had to reschedule. :smile2: I hope things start rolling along for you. Good Luck
