Hello....Happy to see a February 2010 site for bandsters. Everyone tells me support in the #1 key. Let's keep this going. #1. Surgery date? February 18, 2010 #2. State you live in? California #3. Doctor/Surgery Center? Dr. Laura Machado (Sacramento Bariatric Medical Assoc) #4. Insurance or self pay? Insurance #5. Age and height? 51 / 5'3.5" #6. Current weight and goal weight? 220 / 140 #7. What was your deciding factor for having this surgery? Arthritis in knees and hips..It's awful! And lots of acid reflex. I feel so old! #7. Do you have the support of family and friends? You bet, and I talk to anyone that will listen! #8. Concerns and questions? I wonder what it will feel like the day after surgery. Maybe I should not have read the bad stuff, but so many have trouble, and I talk to others that have the surgery and don't follow the diet, duh! And they don't know why it isn't working! It's not going to work! I love the success stories and I want to be one of them too!
