  1. Congrats, good for you and enjoy your trip. If I somehow can ever get to 200lbs (which may be too skinny) I have promised myself a new tattoo that will say "Half The Man I Used To Be"
  2. yes I am banded and have about 45lbs to go to get under 300. I have played all the sports games and those are (boxing kicks my butt) but I just didn't know if anyone had pushed the limits on the board. I will have to ask my wife which games on Fit do or do not need the board.
  3. Oh man this scares the heck out of me! I feel as if I am eating too much at times but I continue to work out and am losing weight but I would hate to see this all go for not because of my own stupidity and over eating.
  4. My wife uses the Wii Fit and it looks fun amd I would like to try it. I have noticed that it says 300lbs max on the box for the board. Has anyone 300+ used it? Could I really damage it? Will the game tell me to get off and not work? I would hate to break it or ruin it for my wife because she enjoys it.
  5. Yea sounds like you don't have enough in there. I am surprised they have you on liquids for so long. I have had two fills so far and the PA that did the first ones told me no solids for that night but if I could handle creamy Soups then I could have that. When I went back the following week the other PA in the office did my second fill and she said nothing solid for that evening or the next day because it can sometimes take up to 24 hours for the liquid to get to the band. So maybe you don't have enough in there or you just need to give it the rest of today and maybe tomorrow will start to feel restriction.
  6. Really can't say, perhaps you don't need a fill yet. talk to your doctor and see what he/she thinks. Everyone is different and there is really no exact science to unfortunately.
  7. I told myself the same thing, that I will only weigh myself at the doc's office once a month. Yea fat chance!
  8. I totally agree with your last statement. I feel some restriction since my last fill but without a doubt I have the feeling of things getting stuck if I don't chew properly or eat too fast.
  9. thanks everyone for you insight. I would love to say I will only weigh myself once a week but I know I will take a peek from time to time, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one lol
  10. That is what I will have to do, after my next appointment I will have to come right home and see what my home scale says, in the same clothes.
  11. yea that's what drives me crazy. My doctor has 2 offices and then I have the scale at work and everytime I am wearing something different like either workk boots or jeans instead of shorts. So I keep seeing different numbers but as long as the number keeps going down I really don't care which is exactly right hahaha
  12. Just curious what system or schedules people have to weigh themselves? Like how often? Where? I go each month for a visit to the doc's and also have a scale at work. I just recently got another scale for my house. I don't want to drive myself crazy everyday but the temptation is there always to take a peek.
  13. well I have had 2 already and its no more then the little prick when you have blood drawn. My doc starts everyone with 4cc's for their first fill, which was not enough for me so I got 2 more. I'll be curious to hear how you make out tomorrow.
  14. yea thats impressive, good for you. Any idea how much the doc wants to put in for your first fill?
  15. I'm surprised that they had you wait that long? How much have you lost with nothing in the band?
  16. That's kinda how I was at first, my band was empty for the first 5-6 weeks and I had some restriction at first but as the month went on I was eating way too much, the holidays didn't help either. No way could I have gone a whole 3 months. Was your band completely empty or did they put some in post op?
  17. I'm doing great thanks! I have lost a total of 48lbs so far (it may be a bit more but haven't been on a scale) but having fun trying to figure what to eat and how much. Gave me a reason to get back into the gym which is nice. I have had 2 fills so far and my next appointment is in Feb, dont know if I will need another fill then or not but looking forward to another weigh in.
  18. isn't the staff great? I had mine done about a month after you. How are you feeling?
  19. When were you banded? Any set backs thus far?
  20. My doc said creamy soups were fine as long as my stomach agreed, but certainly no solids
  21. so you were banded about a month before I was, how have you found it to be? Have you had any problems or set backs at all?
  22. hahahaha, I would have been happy either way as long as either Philly or Dallas was out of the playoffs. I must admit though I was rooting for Dallas because my brother in law is an Eagle fan and we never root for each other lol
  23. hahaha yes I am and I'm guessing if you're from that end of the state you are not???
  24. Hey thats great, good for you. I had mine done at Center State in Freehold by Dr Washington, he too was great.
  25. Just wondering if anyone from New Jersey was on here. Who their doctor was and where they had their surgery?
