  1. This happened to me also. My recovery was no different. They don't do anything differently with the exception of a few stitches in that muscle. My surgeon said that it is quite common. I felt like a "normal" person three days after surgery.
  2. I thought I would post about my experience with Dr. Snow. I was banded on Jan. 15, 2010. He did the Single Incision surgery. So I had only one incision about 2 inches long in my belly button and one small incision (less than 1cm) where they put the liver retractor. He puts mesh on the back of the port so there is less chance of port flipping and less pain on recovery. I did not have any port pain and very little incision pain. Lots of gas pain, but I hear this from lots of banded people. He is so encouraging on my check up visits. He answered all of my questions before surgery while I was making my decision and all of my questions since. I was nervous about the surgery, but he really quieted most of my fears. The ones I had left were just being scared of the anesthesia. I would recommend him to anyone in my family who wants to have this surgery!!
  3. I was banded on Jan 15th. The gas pains were the worst of it. I feel like a human again and it only took three or four days. I have no soreness or anything now. Not even at my port site. Sometimes I wonder if I even had anything done. I can tell the difference though when I eat. I do get full fast. Only, it doesn't last long. I think this will change when I get a fill. Congratulations to everyone who is making changes in their lives and taking control. :smile2:
  4. There are lote of other benefits to quitting the diet cokes. I noticed that my skin had alot of little blemishes so I decided to quit at the beginning of the year. I have noticed that in 11 days my skin is not as red and my skin is clearer.
  5. I am getting the band on January 15th also. I started my pre-op diet on Sunday. It is an all liquid diet. Not too bad so far. I am very nervous about the surgery, but I am trying to stay positive. I am focusing on what will happen after.
