When did your gas pain start?

I wondered the same thing  Im 8 days post op, and am just starting to feel more "normal".. I came to the conclusion that everyone feels the gas differently-- for me it was pain I had when taking a deep breath. That was it.. Good luck and Congrats!!
  2. Hi everyone.. as a newbie (6 days post op) yay! I have a question.. Are these things normal? and what might be causing them? 1. I have some discomfort/pain when I take a really deep breath. 2. I am adding some things to my Protein shakes (1/2 banana, spoon of peanut butter).. they go down ok, is that ok? 3. Some times I get this hiccup/burp feeling.. it takes a few minutes, but can burp and it goes away. 4. What does "the band" or "restriction" feel like? Thanks for the advice everyone! I rely on this board so much to help! Jen banded 4/20/2010- 10 lbs gone forever!

    About Yourself

Hi to everyone.. My name is Jen, and I am scheduled to be banded on April 20th! I am so excited, but a little nervous :smilielol5: I start my pre op diet this Tuesday-- I think Im the most afraid of that!! However-- IT IS THE LAST DIET I WILL EVER GO ON!! I am 30 years old and live in North Carolina with my girlfriend, Erica, and our two dogs- Miller and Ali. Erica is really supportive, and I am sooooo lucky to have her. I came to the decision to have lap band surgery a few months before I turned thirty. I am a nurse and a chronic "caretaker".. lol.. typical nurse :cursing: After feeling really lousy for the last couple years-- I decided it was time to start taking care of myself. Good Luck to everyone on this journey!!
