  1. Perhaps it was too acidic for you. After being banded I found my tolerance for food changed.
  2. I am currently still banded but am having issues. Saw my doc 2day & he thinks it's eroded & needs 2 come out. I lost 85!lbs, gained 10 back & am very very close 2 my goal. I asked him his opinion regarding a revision 2 the sleeve, he's all for it. My hubby on the other hand was sleeved a couple of months ago, has done well, no complications & is very happy w/his progress. I don't know many sleevers but they all seem 2 be pleased. U may want 2 go to the counterpart forum for sleeves. I'm sure u'll (we'll) find goo-gobs of former bandsters to sleeves. Good Luck 2 u & may God ease your path just enough for u 2 make it thru this. Celeste
  3. If the band is infected the bacteria travels from the stomach/band to the port site.
  4. I have an appt Saturday. I just wanna know so I can get it fixed & move forward.
  5. Sx are pain & swelling @ the port site. Stomach pain....is horrid.
  6. I don't KNOW 4 sure but I have the symptoms & my doc said he wanted 2 see me ASAP.

  10. I will call. I'm just a ball of nerves.
  11. My surgeon explained to me that if I continue to have pain at my port site he wants 2 do an egd. That was 2 months ago. I still have pain, feels like I'm overly restricted & I have a burning sensation & pain in the upper abdomen. I need this band - whether physical or psycho. I'm super nervous & hesitant about calling him. Signed, Scared Cee
  12. I've lost weight w/o a fill, w/my 1st fill and now struggling after my 2nd fill. I can eat way too much still and I have discovered one signal (feeling like I have to vomit, but I don't) and yet I can still eat more. I know when I'm full when I feel like I've eaten the entire Christmas goose!! I'm guessing I need another fill.
  13. It's a struggle but today, I ate nothing white but turkey meat. I'm doing the Protein & walking; can't do anything strenuous b/c of my fibromyalgia so that may be my slow weightloss down fall. I have some restriction but I can still eat more then half cup at one time. I'll schedule another fill in another week or so. One day at a time.....today was a decent day. Let's pray for tomorrow. Thanks for the support and pointers.
  14. OMG people, I'm having a rough patch!!! :blushing: I luv to eat - duh, that's what put me in this spot to begin with. But I'm wondering if I'm out on a limb with the food struggle. I'm doing the right things but I feel like that deprived stepchild. What really added insult to injury is I cooked a healthy Soup, mixed veggies, fat free broth, lean ground turkey, french bread (regular white) and wheat Pasta... why oh why have I gained 3 lbs?!?! I know it's not much but when doing what I can...my guess it was the bread & pasta; eventhough I didn't eat a jethro bowl or 5 pieces of bread - so I just stopped eating any of it and cut back more....but I'm in a nasty funk about it!!! Am I alone on this.....I feel like it?
  15. Sounds like I'm missing my "full/enough" signs. Oh boy, I do know the "overboard" signs.
