I've been obese all my life. I did weight watchers for about 2 years and lost 85 pounds. Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon and gained all the weight back and even added some more. I'm tired of being large and decided to commit myself to this major life change. I have a tentative surgery date of 12/17/09. My final set of paperwork was submitted to Aetna on 11/17/09, I'm just waiting for their response. My patient advocate says that I've done everything required by the insurance and feels that I should be approved. I'm just sitting and waiting for word back. Wish me luck!My wife is also planning to have lap band surgery done in January 2010. She has a hiatal hernia as well so her surgery will take a bit longer than mine.Our neighbor used the same doctor about 18 months ago and had very good results (lost around 100 pounds). I'm always looking for others that used TRUE RESULTS / Dr. Nirmul in Scottsdale, AZ.Thanks!
