  1. Banded May 4th... WooooHoooo!!!
  2. So today was day 9 of my liquids and I'm starving! I have to admit I cheated with a few saltine crackers (it felt good to have something solid). I have 9 mores days till my surgery and I hope today wasn't a huge screw-up to the overall progress.
  3. My nutritionist gave me a list of what replacement meals I can use. I'm on 1000 cals/day and allowed 2 cups of veggies for lunch and dinner (prepared any way but fried, not fat added). The Ensure shake that I'm using is 230 cal/18 g of protein and I have 3 of them (sometimes when I'm really hungry I have a fourth one). They actually fill me up and with the veggies I don't feel very hungry (but definitely jealous of others eating everything I want to). Thanks for the advise. Good luck!
  4. Hi guys, I'm on day 6 of my liquid pre-op diet. I haven't noticed any weight loss, am taking 3-4 ensure shakes and eat some veggies to hold me over. I also drink about 2-3 liters of water/day. What am I doing wrong? I'm hungry all the time and haven't cheated, why am I not losing any weight like everyone else? Does anyone have any advise/help. Appreciate all the help I can get, I really don't want to screw this up. By the way, my surgery is scheduled for May 5th
  5. I started using this new single packet crystal light in 17oz of water. They have about 5 cals and no sugar, and a few dozen flavors to chose from.
  6. May 3rd!!! starting my liquid diet tomorrow along with my pre-op appointment. It's nice to have others to talk to. Looking forward to a new me...
  7. My pre-surgery is tomorrow and my surgery on May 3rd. Tomorrow is the start of my 2 week liquid diet. Thanks for all the advise. Every time I feel hungry I will just think of why it's so important to do this and how this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
  8. I too have PCOS and thyroid condition, scheduled for surgery on May 3rd. Both doctors agree that this surgery will change my life, but I'm still concerned. It's nice to know that I'm not alone.
  9. Hi Guys, My name is Irene, I've been fighting the system for over a year trying to get this surgery on the books. They finally approved it and have a scheduled date of May 3rd. I'm terrified. I'm 246 lbs, 33 yrs old and 5' 5'' recently graduated from nursing school and want to lose weight to get a nice job without having this horrible back pain. Any advice guys?
