  1. I am beyond disgusted right now. I am considering having this stupid thing taken the heck outta me! I was doing really well - lost 7.2lbs first week, 5.3lbs second week. I was banded on 11/10. So, I realize it's bad to keep getting on the scale, but I can't help it. So this week, I have been all over the place - as much as up 2-4lbs. As of today I am back down again, but it's still .5 above what I was last Tues. I am technically due for another weigh in this Tues, but what's the point?? Sorry, I realize this may sound confusing, so I am so pissed off! I can't fit hardly any food, I am doing what I am supposed to be doing - I should still be losing weight!!! It's so not worth the suffering if I am still not gonna lose weight. What is up with this???? Thanks for listening to me vent
  2. I was banded 5 days ago, and I have had that kind of pain off and on, too. It was more prominent initially, and has gotten better as time has gone on. I still get it once in awhile, like if I move the wrong way or something, but the others are right....it's right where the band is. And you have to remember there is a lot of swelling initially, too. I am sure it's normal, but if you are really having a lot of pain or are concerned, it never hurts to put a call out to your surgeon. Hope you feel better!
  3. Hi! I was banded on the 10th, and it still is really painful to burp. A little better today than it has been, but it is still something I was prepared for! I hope it passes soon, too!
  4. Hi all! My name is Marnie and I was banded on 11/10. I am glad to finally have gotten the surgery but I would love to pick your brains if you don't mind! SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE THE SHOULDER PAIN GO AWAY!!! LOL I thought I was going to die yesterday, begging my husband to get me to a hospital. I didn't go, but for hours I cried in pain. I know this is normal. And I know everyone says to walk, which I have been doing. And drinking, and Gas X strips, and following the diet. But this is nuts!! It is a little better today, but still there and still painful, to the point I really feel like I can't use my arm. When will this stop? Any miracle cures? I have to go back to work tomorrow and I am just not sure what to do about it. I know I have other questions, but I naturally can't think of them right now! So I guess I'll post more later when they come back to me! Any advice or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!
