  1. Thank you for the encouragement. Yes, I was planning on getting Dr. approval first. I wish you the best as well!
  2. I got banded October 16th, 2009 and I've been having a slow but steady weight loss! I went from a 22 to an 18 and I'm SUPER excited.:w00t: However, I do want to amp up my workout and would like to know when it would be best to start adding some core excercises to my workout. I also want to start jogging, since I've read that it's one of the most effectives excercises to lose weight! Does anyone have any suggestions on what types of workouts I could do for my core? Or how I can amp up my workout? I currently do 30min cardio (usually eliptical) 20 min light weights (legs and arms) 15 min lap swimming I've started working out since beginning of August, so I have a little more stamina, I know I could add a little more. I was thinking of adding a morning jog 3-4 times/week... Is that going overboard?? I'm seriously becoming ADDICTED to this new lifestyle. I would've never thought I would change this much! But it feels great! So, any suggestions or advice would be so helpful! Thank you and good luck to everyone on their journey to a healthy new you! It feels WONDERFUL!:tongue2:
  3. Jessica! I'm also 25 and I got banded 10/16. I was wondering the same thing. Let's keep in touch and see what works and what doesnt. I'm working out often and started doing light weights. It seems to be helping. I've lost lbs since then. I had a starting weight (initial consult...July 30) of 279 (yes insane)...and now I'm 235. I have 100lbs to go but I'm excited! Let me know what kind of exercises you're doing!
