  1. Thanks Galley! I see my surgeon on Thursday, so maybe I'll ask if I can move on to mushy stuff. I have been able to keep everything down too and have not thrown up (which is a miracle!). I didn't know I could have applesauce so maybe I'll try some of that. Friday I took some bean soup and pureed the Beans with the soup and had that....I was able to keep that down and since it had a little more content I felt fuller. Good luck to everyone!
  2. I just got banded on Tuesday 11-10-09 and I burp after eating or drinking. My surgeon said that it is most likely due to the excess gas that is trapped. I had some really bad shoulder pain for a couple days, but I'm doing ok now. I was wondering what liquids you're taking and if they're keeping you full. I felt full the first couple days, but since then it seems like I'm starving quite often. The broths and Protein shakes aren't keeping my hunger pains down. I've had yogurt, pudding and Jello too. Any other suggestions anyone can offer. I still have a week and a half of liquids. Thanks!
  3. Hello everyone! I'm new.............I had my surgery on Tuesday. So far, I'm doing pretty good. Still have a little soreness/discomfort due to the gas and incisions. But otherwise, I'm alright. Just wanted to see if anyone out there had any suggestions for me. I'm on day 4 of the liquid diet (still have 10 more days to go), but none of the liquids seem to really satisfy my hunger. I'm having Water, broth, juice, yogurt, pudding, Protein shakes and Jello, but there are still times where I feel like my stomach is growling and I feel weak. Does anyone have any suggestions for me that will help keep my hunger down to a minimum. I'm a pretty finicky person and don't like to try a lot of different stuff, but right now I'll try anything! Thanks! :-)
