I'm in Jax and I was banded on Feb 26th.

Also how is it fair that they will REQUIRE everyone to have health insurance or face a fine. There are some things that are good, but is requiring everyone to have it unconstitutional? So is it unconstitutional that we are required to have car insurance? We have to have car insurance or we will have to pay a ticket.

I just wanted to comment on the quality of health care question. My husband is in the military and has been for 12 years and has had TMJ for over a year and he hasn't seen a physician yet. They have cancelled appointment after appointment and he is still dealing with this. I went for an eye exam a few years ago and doctor said he saw a tumor so I had to go to my primary care of to get a referral for an MRI and it took 3 months to get an appointment. This is bad and I hate waiting but when I look at the big picture I'm glad that I have some type of insurance because eventually the issues will be taken care of.

I was banded today 2/26/2001. Surgery went pretty well. I was there at 7:30am and back home by 2:15pm. I'm not having to much gas pain at the moment, but I don't want to speak to fast. I'm ready to start this new journey and begin the new chapter in my life.

My doctor has me drinking the Hood Calorie Countdown milk, it has about 45 calories per serving.

I'm on low carb high protein diet. I basically have any lean meats, veggies and protein shakes. For snacks I can have sugar free and fat free jello and fudge pops.

I like the Nector brand of protein, it doesn't leave any after taste in your mouth.

I know you are frustrated, but once it is submitted it is approve really fast. I am Tricare Prime as well and my paperwork was submitted on 2-4-10 and it was approved the next day.
