Is this normal 6 weeks post band and no weight loss or restriction
Wow, reading these posts is really what I needed today..makes me feel more "normal" lol. I lost 14 lbs the first 2 weeks, but not 1 lb. in the 2 weeks since. I try to eat such a sm amt, and chew slowly but get soo hungry, especially at night the way it used to be. The only exercising I can do is while sitting so I know that doesn't help. I'm due to have my 1st fill in a few weeks and really hopes that helps me, cause I just get so down. Anyway, TY everyone for sharing your story

How fast?
Thank you everyone for your encouragement. Still only 15lbs in over 3 weeks is still driving me crazy, but am trying to be patient. I have 2 more weeks til my first fill and am starting to get so hungry between meals. By the way, you have a great blog Sarah.

How fast?
Hi Angie, Is nice to know I'm not alone on this. Looks like you're really doing well so far. It's just hard to not be losing when all I eat is a hard boiled egg for a meal lol. I wish I could exercise more but I have MS and can only do so much. Am anxious to have my first fill.

How fast?
Hi everyone, I had my surgery 3 weeks ago today, and so far, have lost 15 lbs. Most of that was when I was just on fluids only but seems I'm stuck now. Was just wondering how fast most lose it. Am I being impatient?

Looking at things from a different age.
I have my hair shorter than a few years ago, and a lift on top too, lol. I've only lost 15lbs so far, but can see more lines in my neck. YIKES lol. Oh well, losing some weight is worth it. Good luck with your surgery. Do you know when it will be?

55 focused and fantastic!!!
Hi everyone, I had my surgery 2 weeks ago tomorrow and am so happy I found this site. Most of these posts were written months ago, and I was wondering how you feel now about having this surgery done. Has it been successful for you?

Looking at things from a different age.
Is so nice reading posts from gals in their 50's like me. I like to wear natural type clothes, blacks, browns and blues. Just casual stuff. I was always looking for new eye shadow, I realize now that I look best with it put on very light. As far as my health goes tho, it's seen better days, lol. Alot of problems in these past few years.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
And you've lost so much weight..I'm so happy for you. I'm still on liquids, and tho it gets boring lol, is ok. The disadvantage I have tho is that I won't be able to exercise much due to my MS. So is gonna be a long process but I'm determined.

Banded since 5-04-09 A Happy Camper
Congrats on your weight loss. I just had my banding 4 days ago, am 52 years old,and still moving around pretty slow. I also have ortho problems, mainly my knees, and am hoping weight loss will help.

Hi, banded 4 days ago
Hi everyone, I've never been a "thin" person, but in the past few years, I've gained 50lbs. My knees are so bad cause of all this weight I carry around, plus I have MS that I'm almost bed bound. Losing weight won't cure everything but will make living a lot easier I think. My prep was almost a year long and I was finally able to have my surgery 10/13. Yeah!!!!! I'm on full liquids and though I feel full for a little while, I do get hungry again fast. I'm restricted on what to eat though cause I'm lactose intolerant and seems all full liquids have milk in them. Was wondering if anyone has some food ideas for me. I look forward to coming to this site often as I'm beginning this journey. Terri
