  1. I was banded 12/16/09. I have lost 40 lbs so far, but have been at a stand still for last 6 weeks or so. First week of Feb I had to have foot surgery on my right foot due to infection, was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I lost 11 lbs those 2 weeks, but 6 or so came back on quickly once out of the hospital. I was on crutches for 2 weeks, then I fractured my left foot. Now I have a full cast on left foot, and will be in a wheelchair for 6-8 weeks! I am scared that I will start gaining weight due to lack of exercise now. I was looking forward to getting this weight off, now I'm stuck, unmotivated, and don't feel like doing anything. My luck sucks! Sorry, geuss I just needed to vent.
  2. Well tomorrow is my surgery tomorrow. Man am I nervous, but this is something I have been looking forward too and my new start! Currently 323 lbs. Wish me luck!
  3. I have BCBS of Texas. Submitted to Ins and got approval within a week. I'm scheduled for 12/16. My doctor mentioned that BCBS has been responding within 2-3days. Mine was submitted Thanksgiving week, so it took a little longer.
  4. My surgery date is 12/16. At First I was excited, now I'm more nervous than anything. I just keep thinking how much better I will feel and look, and I keep thinking about my children who will also benefit from the surgery, by me being around for them. I hope to be around for many years to come, and I feel surgery is the only way at this point. I think about the money too, but what better investment than in yourself! Keep positive thoughts, and think of how much better you will look and feel.
