  2. As in bandster hell?:faint:
  3. I am here, three days into September, but I am here!
  4. Hi! I was banded on Aug. 7th. It is hard right now. I have no trouble eating. I have tried to watch the portions somewhat. That is difficult but am doing OK, I think. I have lost 26 pounds since pre-op, 13 pre op pounds and 13 post op. So, I don't know if this is "normal" or not but it is what it is! lol
  5. I am not sure if this is unrealistic or not. However, I would really like to get to 160-170 before xmas. That is my goal, I will work towards it and see what I come up with!
  6. Leona--I am WAITING for the day that I can be cocky!! That means your self confidence is in control. Love it!
  7. Pickles, I just plan the parties for fun! It would be an awesome job! So, I wish it was my job too, as long as it would still be fun!

  9. oh gross! Just nasty!
  10. I am having to try and be creative because noone gave me a list of ideas for the mushy stage. Therefore, I just wanted to know what people thought about ramen at the mushy stage! I have done some of the recipes here and they are good ,however, I was just trying to come up with some other things.
  11. Isn't anything mushy as long as you chew it up? How in the world do you classify mushy? Help!:help:
  12. For those of you that bought alot of baby food, use it as a treat for you dog. If you have one! If not, give it to the local shelter. I learned that dogs love baby food for a treat from a vet!
  13. OH, it was the cup o' noodles. There was like 9 oz. in the thing. I don't think the noodles would hurt my stomach any,,,,? That is what I am worried about!
  14. Apple-If you are able to swim for 30-45 minutes daily it would help. I did that the two-three weeks before surgery and weight melted off of me then. Now, I need to get back to the pool!!
  15. Just a second motion .........Slim Fast Low Carb and Atkins are SO Convenient!! That is a major plus in my book!
  16. Ok, other than their sodium being way too much. They have 9 g's of protein add an egg that makes 14 g's. Now, I am in the mushy stage and I ate those today. Does anyone know if the noodles will kill my stomach. Of course, I chomped on them real well!
  17. My doc told me to get Milk of Mag. just in case the protein was stopping us up!! It has helped!
  18. Thanks everyone! I feel normal again!
  19. Denise--I ate about 2 or 2.5 cups of food today. I know I have nada on the restriction. However, when you do have rest. what is the "norm" for you?
  20. My nurse has said that people can eat about 4-8 ounces of food. How much can you eat in one meal? I am new but want to make sure during this band hell period that I am not eating too much!
  21. Those people piss me off too! However, I think it is another instance where you have to chalk it up "Oh I wish I could...." on their part. I had one girl tell me the other day"you didn't do this because of the ex did you?"? ugh, Hell NO! I gained 60 pounds because of him why the hell am I going to make myself feel better because of him.......made me mad This girl is bigger than I and I know that she has a case of the wish i coulds too!
  22. Thanks. The way I keep on adding up mine --I will get like 30-40......We were told that protein shakes are meal replacements not a snack. So, thats where I got fumbled!
  23. How do you get this much protein when you are on mushies?
  24. I had a really bad break up about a year and a half ago. I didn't see it coming, it was straight out of left field. I gained 57 pounds since then. So far, what the band has done for me is give me hope that I can get back to where I was ten years ago. I still love him. He's gone. I am hoping that this will help with self confidence to get back out there and find a good guy. I know it shouldn't be this way but so many people judge you by your looks. I want to look great, therefore, will be seen differently.
  25. OK, so I know that what I am about to say is really HIGH in sodium but, hey, it's better than breaking! Ramen noodle juice! It is good and different.....VERY salty!
