  1. Hey Y'all: I was just banded on Tuesday. I started on my clear liquid diet yesterday, and noticed pretty bad reflux and general stomach discomfort. As an RN I know this will go away, but, I would just like re-assurance others have been through this.
  2. Dr. Mueller completed my Lap-Band yesterday and it was such a smooth experience. My pain is well controlled with the medication, I am walking around my property up here in Pine Valley, things are going well.
  3. Thanks Dr.Mueller is my doctor at Sharp Memorial.
  4. No thanks for all of the detail, that really helps decrease anxiety. I just love the modern world, a Canadian in London is chatting with someone in the mountains of California, pretty cool. So no Narcotics needed?
  5. Thanks How was the pain for you? How did they treat it? Where you in the hospital over night or did you go home the same day?
  6. Interesting. Yes I have Blue Cross and my suregery is completely covered. I do have to pay about $500 out of pocjer, but, that seems reasonable. Yes the pre-op period is getting on my nerves and I am very anxious to get the procedure completed.
  7. Welcome Kim! I have my surgical date on 06 October 2009 for my Lap-Band and am currently on my pre-operative liquid diet. So did the NHS pay for your banding or did you have to pay out of pocket? I live in the mountains outside of San Diego, California with my wife and two daughters. Dave
  8. Thanks to both of you so much!!!
  9. Hey All: How do I add a picture so that it appears when I post or reply? Also How does one add the "weight ticker" to their signature line when they post? Dave
  10. Thanks I am hanging in there. On one level it feels very nice to eat so healthily, just not used to it I suppose.
  11. I just wanted to introduce myself, I am a 45 y/o male who lives in Pine Valley, CA. Up in the mountains, 4000 feet, east of San Diego. I have struggled with weight all of my life and have my Lap-Band on 06 October 2009, and started my pre-op protein shake diet yesterday. I am feeling very tired and lethargic, but, this is nothing for a chance to turn my life around. Later Dave
