Hi My name is Susi85 and i was banded 11/25/09 as well as having a ventral hernia fixed. I am unable to exercise much w my work schedule and extreme fatigue. Needless to say i have only lost 30 lbs and have started eating all the wrong foods and too much. I need someone who is willing to help me help myself. Is there anyone out there? I need more one on one. Thanks alot Susi:smile2:

hi , i received my first fill on tuesday and they put 5 cc's in my 11cc band, right off i started burping and they sent me down to the coffee shop to see if i could eat yogurt, even though i could i felt lightheaded and had lt shoulder discomfort, I went back up and they took .6 out and then everything was fine. After being on soft for 2 days i can eat again. Only thin is that i am hungry after 2 hrs. I try to eat 1/2 cup at a time with abut 2 ounces of protein:tongue2:.

hi, No fever, just red with little bloody discharge, it was fine untill the last scab came off, it seems much better with the compresses and neosporin. Will call doctor on monday, have an appointment on tuesday morning. what side is the port usually on. The ventral hernia was right above my belly button it was really large.

Hi I was banded 11/25/09 and also had a ventral hernia surgery at same time, everything has been great but now one of the larger incisions, maybe my port if they put it on the right side is red and oozing, could be from the tummy band i have to wear because of the hernia surgery. i am using warm compresses, and neosporin any ideas? I tried to call my doctor but the machine says call 911, not quite what i had in mind. Thanks for reading this any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Me too! I was banded 11/25/09 and i weighed 233 at doctors. I weigh about 214 on my scale. so i would like to lose 15 lbs to put me at 199. :smile2::smile:

Hi, I would like to join in also. I am only three weeks out so i don't get my first fill until Jan 5th,10. Does anyone else have the realize band? I did not choose it just left it up to my surgeon, but would like to know how well it works, i have lost 14 lbs these last three weeks. will be glad to hear from you.

Hi, I too was banded on Nov 25th,had a ventral hernia repair done too, that and the gas was and is the worst, now on from here! Yea!!! Good luck to us all.:smile:

Hi i am being banded on Nov 25m, I do have a large umbilical hernia that is getting fixed at the same time as banding, i hope it wont hurt to bad,ouch! anyway goodluck to all the ones getting banded before me.:thumbup:

HI i am new to, my date is Nov 25,I know day before Thanksgiving. I have been overweight most of my life and diets just dont work anymore. I am also scared as I have a large umbilical hernia that also need repaired. So we start pretty much together. Sorry this is so long.:confused:
