OK, I get it no football talk here. I was disappointed by the outcome anyway. Wanted Montreal to win, maybe next year. I go for my fill tomorrow with the Doc in Ottawa. Hope he's had enough practice by now. Will let you all know how it went. Speaking of the sport of shopping, lots of great shopping in Ottawa. My sister is coming with me and we plan to shop till we drop. It should be a great day. Any day away from work is a great day even if it means I have to have a very large needle stuck into my abdomen by an inexperience Dr.

I hear all of you. Yoda, no offense taken, I appreciate the advice. I spent the day today thinking of what you all said and there may be some truth to what Yoda and Green said. I woke up this morning feeling like it would be nice to see the sun again. It's rained over 50 days in the last 70. It's affecting everyone around here including me. I paid a lot of attention to the hunger thing today and I drank more water than I have been. Since the band, I have not been drinking a lot of water. I still think that I need a little more fill. So I will ask the Doc to put in .3 instead of .5ccs. Again, thanks

I didn't. I was considering submitting receipts to our Extended Health provider but I didn't I'm sure I would have been denied. I took a sick leave for the surgery, they don't know what type of surgery I had otherwise, they would not have covered that.

I wish I felt that way about my band. I'm beginning to resent it. I thought that the band would prevent me from being hungry. I really have not felt that yet. Yes I have felt restriction at times and I have Pb but when I bought into the whole band thing, I had this vision of eating small amount and being satisfied for a prolong period. Is it going to happen to me??? Is this the way it works for all of you who are losing and have lost weight? I am getting discouraged....NO I'M NOT, NO I'M NOT, NO I'M NOT!!!

Lila, your story about your second fill makes me wonder if I should reconsider and go to Mississauga instead of Ottawa for my 3rd fill. Maybe the guy in Ottawa doesn't sweat!!! Bleh!!!

2 weeks after the surgery I was down 20 lbs, now I am down 18. I gained 2 lbs. I knew I had a metabolism problem before the surgery so I knew it will still be a tough ride. I'm not ready to give up yet. Dr M decided on an extra .5 ccs to top up to 2ccs but I'm considering asking for only .3 ccs. I don't think that the Dr in Ottawa would object considering the restriction that suddenly appeared. Who knows by next week I'll probably be able to eat a whole caribou!!!

That makes two of us Cloe, at least you had the nerve to ask. There's another one I've been meaning to ask, can't think of it now but it looks like an acronym. Next time I see it I will ask.

You see that's the problem... I haven't loss any weight at all for quite a while. I know I am definitely eating a lot less than before the surgery. So what's up with that!!! Today again, lots of restriction. Could this be what they mean when it could take a few weeks to take? My last fill was 3 weeks ago. I'll see how the weekend goes and decide if I want to postpone the fill.

Mandi, next time my clothes go to New Brunswick for you to sniff first. Will you send them back clean? This could be the start of a beautiful friendship, I ship my clothes to you and you do the laundry. What do you think? On second thought don't answer that! How are you now Mandi, are you still tight? I just got back from a dinner meeting. Took my first few bites and it was stuck had to leave the dinner table to Pd, good thing everyone was eating and no one was in the washroom. Now I'm thinking do I really want a fill? The last 2 days I've been feeling a lot of restriction. What's up with that? My fill is on Tuesday. I am confused. There were a few questions like "you hardly ate anything did you not like it? or Are you not feeling well" First time I had to use little white lies. Yoda, my band is a 4cc band. 2ccs in a 4cc band means it would already be half full or will it be half empty???

So I phoned the Dr in Ottawa today, the clinic had faxed my info, so my fill is schedule for Nov 21. I asked if Dr. M had indicated how much fill to give, the receptionist answered, fill to 2ccs. Yikes!! That sounds like a lot. Anyway, I'll give it a try, at least if it's too much, I won't have far to go. I'm sooooo happy I can have it done in Ottawa. Hope everything goes well.
