  1. Well I defeated my fear, I am getting lap banded on Oct 27, 09. I have done more research on teh internet than I have ever done before, read about all these new treatments, pills, balloons and the new Mini Gastric Bypass. decided with the lap band. I have listened a lot on utube about how the band failed and how these whole bunch of people got the Mini Gastric Bypass and if you have comments on that surgery or know of failtures let me know, because I have only one negative about that surgery. I go on a 800 cal preop on Tomorrow that really SUCKS!!!!! I am self pay for teh surgery at 16800, so my body better not reject. My weight is a concern and with teh rising stigma against people who are overweight I want the surgery and also for my health and my children. I will pray for your health and hope the best . god bless.

I am in the same boat. I here some neg and some positive. I am really worried something will fail. I am spending 16800.00 out of pocket and I want to be sure this works as they say. I have other issues like I dont want everyone knowing whats going on. I work in a office where everyone is against this type of surgery. Good to here someone is questioning it. Are you male or female. Whats your starting weight and where do you wnat to end up. If ou dont mind me asking.
