This is my struggle. I have been overweight all my life. I was born at 21 inches and 8 lbs!! I feel for my mom. My parents spoiled me through my teens, however I do not blame them what so ever. I have a food addict through my teens.  I would eat because I was hungry, or because I was bored, or when I was upset, or just plain jolly. I was bullied all through my school years and I guess now I have developed a Back bone sort of sense because I now stand up for myself. I have never been so sure of anything else, than the lap band. " I just want to be normal" . That phrase to me is obselete. I do not want to be normal nor am I normal. I want to be able to ride a bike for a few hours. I want to go on hikes and feel refreshed, not exhausted. I am an independent and informed young women. I am still growing and still learning. I have now had the lap band for 3 weeks and I would like some help on planning my meals. I hope that one day I will feel happy on the outside as I feel on the inside.
