  3. Hi!! I was banded on 17 August... and haven't had a lot of discomfort... when in hospital, i had allergic reactions to the pain med, so i think it was easy for me to get used to the pain... I am still on the liquid diet.. not dealing well with it at all.. im hungry.. and im finding myself extremely sad, irritable, and just not good company.. I am thinking about calling the surgeons office tomorrow. I don't want to do anything to damage the pouch, but i know that i am super hungry. I honestly didn't think I would feel this hungry! I don't know what i expected. I am eating jello, pudding, soup and bouillon, protein shakes, and juice.. i don't normally drink alot at once, but i have not felt full.. at all... this is like a last ditch to ask someone, if they felt this.. how did they deal with it.. the great thing? my insulin requirements are 50% less then preop!! wooT and i am thankful that i could have this surgery..

I did the upper GI the morning after the surgery.. remember its nothing like the preop.. it was like a small dixie cup... i swallowed it.. they looked on the exray to see that it had drained and sent me on my way.. all in 10 mins tops!!!
