  1. Could be due to my BMI being so high, or my other co-morbidities, don't really know, but I'm glad it's working out.
  2. I had my first consultation with my surgeon. It appears my insurance covers the procedure with no time constraints. The surgeon would want to go through some test either way which is fine with me. The test I will be going through are: Barium Swallow Stress Test sleep Disorder Study Exercise Consult Psychological Eval. The surgery will be scheduled for 3 weeks after these test are complete. I estimate I should have everything complete by end of November or begining of December.
  3. Sounds great V! I'm going today for my first consultation with my Surgeon. Wish me luck!
  4. I agree completely, I made my appointment for the initial consulatation with the surgeon for next month. I just wanted to another visit in with primary to get my yearly blood work done. Honestly, he didn't know much about the procedure. He did give me a list of questions to ask about. Such as, how many procedures has the surgeon performed, how many with complications, how much weight he anticipates i lose, ask about spillage. I agree with those questions, most questions I had thought of on my own, I guess I just wanted to get support from some knowledgeable but he wasn't. But he did mention that I do need some type of procedure.
  5. It was a weird visit. He suggested that I do need a procedure but he thinks it should be the bypass. Which I disagreed with b/c of the pros of getting the lap band. I just feel that the bypass is such a high risk procedure just to achieve the same results as a lap band procedure in 5 years time.
  6. Hi ELL, Do you mind updating on us on your procedure? I am considering going with Dr. Huguet as well. From what they stated at the info seminar it seems St. Anthony pretty good at holding your hand through the whole approval process. How was your experience? Thank you!
