  3. I am a side and stomach sleeper. I am having surgery on the 23rd. I was wondering how long it too before you were able to go back on your side or stomach? Did this come into play with port placement? Thanks
  4. Hi everyone! I am just checking in...it has been one h*ll of a week with my dad in ICU and all of my appointments on top of it. Today was the first time that I stressed about surgery. I went for my chest xray and then thought...oh my....this is real.... I am so happy and so proud of all of you guys that have had surgery so far this month! I can't wait until the 23rd!!! Will check back in soon!
  5. Wow that was super fast...and you go for surgery in 2 days...Good luck and let us know how you do! I think the fast surgery date will not allow for any negative thoughts or second guesses!! So...today is oficially September 1st and we had a few from September 2009 go into surgery today....can't wait to hear how everyone made out!! So exciting!! I go today at 2:00 for my EKG, chest X-Ray, Physical and all other PCP stuff....blood work will be in about 10 days and then Surgery on the 23rd!! :frown:
  6. Hi everyone! i am just checking in and will go back and read everything that I have missed! MY dad is doing better and is being moved from ICU to Cardiac Care and will be there for a few days. I am back home and had my visit with my nutritionist today. My Doc did not require a pre op diet, but she does (I thought I got away with it :biggrin: So 2 weeks of 3 protein shakes a day and 1 small meal of protein and veggies. I start this next Tuesday! I just wanted to say good luck to everyone being banded this week and that I can't wait to hear how everything is going!! YAY!!!
  7. Goodmorning everyone... Yesterday was a tough day for me. My dad is in ICU and had congestive hear failure and a pulmonary embolism...scary stuff. I am normally a stress and emotional eater, but I did prettty good. I am proud of that because I am trying to change my habits! Well, off to the hospital again.
  8. I am in the West Palm Beach area. I am having surgery at JFK medical in Lake Worth with Dr. Larson!! I am so excited and can't wait myself!! I am going to do the pre op diet even though not required! So glad we have this group to keep track of each other!! Michelle - Where are you in Florida?
  9. Hi everyone! I am being banded in FL on September 23!! I am so excited to be sharing this journey with all of you! I have read this thread from page one! I am 35 years old and over 300lbs. Time to take this insanity into my own hands and make it work for good this time!! I am so ready!! I will be starting my preop diet soon although my Dr. doesn't MAKE you do one...he strongly recommends one. YAY for all of us!!! Robyn :thumbup:
  10. I am required by the Dr's group to stay one night. I am self pay, but have to do what they say! I will be spending the night in the hospital on the 23rd of September.
  11. I am having surgery with Dr. Larson in West Palm on September 23rd!! Yay! Anyone else have this date or close?
