  4. I loved my band and was successful with losing weight. However, I first developed some reflux and had Fluid removed, then, I could never get the adjustment right. always too tight or too loose. Later, I lost my vision in 1 eye and was diagnosed with MGUS. Though my vision ultimately returned, I had a fear of this device being in me. I was told that there wasn't any correlation, and they are likely correct, however, I couldn't relax and didn't feel reassured. So, I had the band removed and revised. I really didn't want any other wls, but I was gaining so quickly that I needed something and, so far so good.

  19. HELLO, My revision took about 2 hrs. My surgery was at 11 and I was wheeled into my room at 2:15. (Time includes revision and recovery room time). The recovery room time was roughly an 1 1/2. I had my band unfilled a fews months before. Brigette
  20. Good Morning Sleevers!! I have a question regarding the ability to eat without effort 4 oz. of food. I feel that I can easily eat more but, stop myself at that point. My surgery date was 9 Feb 15, so, I am about 2 1/2 weeks out. I started soft foods 1 week after surgery (fish, tuna, green beans). I guess each Surgeon is different. My surgery was completely pain-free and, though I am off work for 6 weeks, I could have gone to work the same week. I am losing fine (hit a stall now but, not too worried) but I am concerned that if I am able to eat so much now, in a month I will be eating a much larger portion. Also, it takes me about 5-10 minutes to eat meal. I have forced myself to slow down to minimum of 20 minutes. I can drink 32 oz of Water in about 5-10 minutes too. I can't eat salads yet. Sorry for the long post!! My actual question is: Are you or were you able to eat so much 2 1/2 weeks out or, is this due to my having a revision? Let me give an sample of a days worth of food: 1st meal: Protein shake 11 oz. mixed in my decaf coffee about 10 oz. 30 minutes later: water, water, water 2nd meal: 1 scrambled egg with 1 oz. of chicken and laughing cow wedge water 3rd Meal: 4 oz. grilled chicken breast w laughing cow wedge or chicken salad w light mayo 30 minutes later: water, water, water 32-40 oz. 4th Meal: 4 oz. grilled chicken breast, 4 green Beans water w Crystal Lite 5th meal: Protein Shake or string cheese with 1 slice of budding turkey wrapped around water, water, water
  21. Weight today is 198. See you next week.
  22. Hi. I started soft foods week 2. I can easily eat moist chicken or turkey and steamed green beans. I also eat chili no problem. Revised on 9 Feb 15.
  23. I am in. My goal is to lose 20 lbs. Which would put me at 179. I am currently as of today 199. My surgery Date was 9 February. So, assuming I am understanding correctly, I would then, on Monday, post my weight again? Exciting! I need the motivation. Thanks for doing this. Brigette
  24. Wow. I have the same concern. I am about 11 days out. i am able to eat quite well. I restrict myself by only eating 3-4 oz. I am on soft food stage and eat Beans and cheese. But, I am still losing well so won't complain. I am following plan to the letter. my Dr. has a great history so, we shall see! Brigette
