  1. I was banded on November 19th. Initially it was hard for me to be excited about it, becuase my Surgeon express some concern about the placement of my band due to my anatomy. He felt that it was questionable and he is not sure if he will need to remove it. So my 1st postop day was awful. All I did was worry about whats to come. Well post op day 2 was better I have been trying to stay positive and hopefully it will all work out. I figure that I have six weeks before we know if my band is good so am just going to follow the diet and take advantage of anyweight loss during this time.
  2. Hello Guys, I have been having some Heartburn lately...I hurt my shoulder at work about eight weeks ago and the Dr prescribed naproxen for pain. I took it for about a week and then I stopped due to heartburn and upset stomach. My question is... I am scheduled for surgery NOV 19th. Has anyone had problems with heartburn getting worse after the band:huh2:?
  3. So excited.....I will be banded in a few weeks. Never thought I would see this day. I am so ready for the change.
  4. My friend had her sugery on thursday, and she is doing so well. She complains of soreness only she has no problem walking around. She feels that she can go to work next week after her followup, however I think she needs to wait so she can get adjusted to her new diet, because her preop diet made her weak.
  5. I am so Happy for you....
  6. My partner just finished her diet, and she had to take off from work.
  7. Thank you so much for you comment. Hopefully I will join bandland soon.

  9. Hi LULU140, I to am afraid. I have been yo-yo dieting since my 20's. and i think the fear of another failure is probably the worst. I sit and think about what if i do not succeed or what if I fail myself like in the past. But, I am also afraid of diabetes, heart disease and all those other things that are caused by being over weight. WE SHALL GET OVER ALL THAT ONCE ITS ALL OVER. AND WE ARE LOOKING AND FEELING OUR BEST. KEEP IN TOUCH LET ME KNOW HOW THINGS ARE GOING. PATIENCE
  10. Thank you Everyone who replied to my thread the information has been really helpfull.
  11. Hello everyone, If you are a nurse I do not have to tell you how demanding nursing is on the body. Can some of you share with me how long were you out of work after your surgery? and were you able to return to work with no problems. I am a ICU nurse and I am pending approval, my only concern is when will be able to return to work. We do 100% of the pulling and lifting. Please share your experiences.
  12. Hello, I am in Conyers Ga. No surgery date yet, however all my requirements have been meet. My surgreon is Dr Stienberg at Dekalb Medical.
