  1.    LISS011 reacted to a post in a topic: ovarian cyst, I mean alien watermellon!
  2. I am going to most likely going to apply next month . I am waiting.to see if I can get Medicaid . I am curious how long approval for a revision takes
  3. I have not checked into Belite .. I will check them out , you had a revision done ? My husband is not very keen on me going to Mexico . At this point he might consider it but its not been an option .. If Medicaid does not cover it he may .
  4. I was directing it more towards the other person , I have been attached and attached more in the last few days since I am being more " open" about my band issues than I have in my ilfe all for simply wanting to eat and be normal again . I have worked in the medical field and I understand they take forever and all that " good stuff" But Its the only option I have right now . There is no way I can save enough money for surgery ... even the PCIP Insurance that I could get I can afford to get its $300 a month for just me. I dont know what else to do . I cant live like this anymore. I really cant.
  5. Well first off dont assume things before you ask ... My band is severaly messed up !I can no longer get fills due to scar tissue from slips and the opening to my stomach would be closed off if I were to get afill. I throw up daily, i can no longer eat most solid foods and live on liquids, I am 20 pounds from my original pre surgery weight of 250 pounds and that was AFTER losing 125 pounds with the band originally . I also have other issues I never had before the band such as severe fatigure, joint pain, muscle aches, cold hands, cold feet, numb hands , numb feet , just to name a few ! So I dont know if that means i need it to "save my life" I am also trying to save for the surgery ..
  6. I applied for medcaid today . It seems like i should be approved based on what I have read ? BUT who knows. Does anyone know what the medicaid guildlines are in Texas for revisions ? thanks Mindy
  7. That is one thing i am worried about is my BMI being too low. I did howver find out that PCOS ( polycystic ovarian syndrome ) which i have is a co morbidity for the insurance i want to get. Lulu you and i are exactly the same weight and height !
  8. Umm yeah I am thinking there will be a suit there for sure ! WOW !!!
  9. Really ?? I believe in the paper work i read it said WLS was excluded ? did it not say that in your paper work ? do you mind PMing me Rebecca ? Thanks
  10. Has anyone had any experience w/ the pre existing condition insurance through the govt paying for revision ( band to sleeve ) ? I Have heard some rumblings of it ? Anyone have this insurance and had the revision ? If so what was the process ? Thanks
  11. There seem to be a few .. I just filled out a questionnaire to see what its about . The one i found kind of seemed like they were going after the docs maybe ? But my situation at least is not the docs fault , in my opinion the band failure is the manufacturers fault . I should hear from them tomorrow so i will let you know what they say ?
  12. Just curious if anyone has looked into or joined a law suit for the bands ? Mindy
  13. Do you have to have good credit to qualify for this ? Or does the doc finance you himself ?
