8-12 weeks when your in that situation is NOT a lot of time to decide what to do . espically if your a scared shitless 15,16,17 yr old girl who has not idea what to do ! Your suppose to decide what to do with the rest of your life in a few weeks time ? I dont think so . I have been in that situation and that is NOT enough time to decide what to do , add in there you probably cant tell your parents or dont tell your parents until much later on if at all ! You should think about that !!!! So I agree with Gaget . As for the plastic surgery thing , I could go either way on that. But I tend to say as long as its not a pschy issue its not an issue, the doc has to decide if its too much . Mindy

I think as long as a woman does not have any psychological issues like body dismorphic disorder there should not be a limit on how much plastic surgery she can have. However i think its up to the surgeon giving the surgey to recognize those issues and put a stop to it if they realize that no amount of plastic surgery is going to make that patient happy . Just as i believe there is a failure in the WLS community with the psych exams, I believe there are certain people who are not good canidaties for the surgery yet they are able to get it done because they are not properly looked at. part of the responibility falls on the patient and part on the doc . My biggest thing with PCOS and the thing i have always hated is the excess facial hair. As soon as i can afford it again im getting laser hair removal. I am having regular periods now , which is odd because before when i was thin i did not have them regularly And by regular i mean I get them once a month they come at different times LOL If i could figure out a way to stop or slow down this hair growth i would be a happy camper now !!! I have been away for a while so im jumping back in to this. I heard in an interview that she paid for the IVF from a settlement she got in a workers comp case. in my opinion the doc who implanted her needs his lisecense revoked. He , from what is being said, knew her situtation , she was unemployed already had 6 children , 3 are disabled and did this anyway . Its unethical . This woman is NUTS. There is no way in HELL the tax payers should pay for these children . NOW She has the "Nuts" to go online and ask for donations. Her "publicist" was on Dr Phil the other day Dr Phil said " how does she think she's going to raise these kids " the publicst said " that's why im here WE need help we need the help of the people" WTF ? My husband works out of town during the week , we are barely making ends meat right now , we dont have health insurance , we too make more money than qualifies us for ANY assistance , i cant find a job but i am not on TV asking for help to pay for kids I CHOSE to have and cant take care of . I call BULLSHIT on this one BIG TIME !!! This woman In my opinion has some serious issues and now she's expecting everyone else to pick up the tab ? NO way . NOW The problem is NOW is the children . They are the one's who are going to pay in the long run for their mothers Stupidity !!! CPS needs to step in and at least investigate this woman . that's my 2 cents !!! Mindy

I would much rather someone say " Hey look children is not for me , I dont care for them, im not the motherly type, ect "than to have them and not care for them properly . I dont think woman or men for that matter have to get married to have children . I dont think men and woman have to get married period ! Why does a woman HAVE TO have a child ? Its ridicoulous ? I was going to stay out of this discussion but .... Let me let you in on a secret. Something i did not even consider until I saw it . When I went for my abortion , I was 18 already had a 2 yr old ( yes that's right I had a baby at 16 and was not going to have another one by an abusive SOB ) I could not and still cant take the pill due to migraines . Anyway , There were MORE MARRIED WOMAN In the abortion clinic than SINGLE woman !!! Just because people are married does not mean unplanned pregnancies do not happen and people do not make mistakes or birth control does not fail,people feel they cant afford the babies and feel its best to have the abortion . But to think that just because 2 people are married that they wont or dont have abortions is naive . God did not plan for ALOT OF things , does not mean its right or WRONG ! Im sick of people throwing GOD into the mix when things dont fit into their "PLAN" and just call it WRONG . I dont know what the HELL Prositutes, homosexuals and what ever else was in that last sentance has to do w/this topic , but it wasnt needed ! Mindy

Susan I like that recipe too. one of my favorite places to get recipes is those little recipe booklets in the check out lines at the grocery stores. They are usually quick, fast and easy . also i found this site the other day and she has a TON OF band friendly recipes. theworldaccordingtoeggface Also i like this site , here is their quick and healthy chicken section Quick and Healthy Chicken Recipes and Tips - Eating Well Sometimes you have to just try these recipes see if you like then , like the ingredients and go from there. My doc is not "Conservative" however he follows the guidelines set forth by the manufacture of the band . I am also very sensitive to fills so i have had more unfills than fills so I get even SMALLER fills than recommended. I lost 105 lbs in 10 months . I am currently down 115 pds and Im not yet 2 yrs out . So i think i have done quite well for myself , Im 10 or 15 pds from goal . :biggrin: Mindy

If its seperated out that might not be so bad. the probelm that seems to happen when support group meetings are combined with surgeries is it gets nasty very quickly with " my surgery is better than yours" or " OH I can eat that YOU cant" kind of stuff. So that's why i asked. I would like to meet maybe in someone's homes or restrurants, but its up to others I dont care ? Mindy
