I call my insurance company in the beginning before I had my initial visit with my family doctor. So by the time I got the referral and all my paper work, (history of other diets and diet programs) to go visit the surgeon three months had past and I was able to use those visits as part of my 6 month supervise diet. After meeting the surgeon and having all the required (other) doctor visit (ultrasound, EGD, Physc, Metobolic, another dietician, it was 2 more month passed and now I am waiting to see him on the 20th of Nov to schedule a surgery date (probably will be Dec.) Talk with your doctor, he might work with you.

Congradulation. ? how was the actually procedure and where did you have it perform. I am in down to my last dctors appointmen.

Do you think my doctor will sign a form saying that I was seen by him for the 6 month supervise diet the insurance requiring for the past 2 years. I have the past 5 years programs I was on, but it was not in the past 2 years.

Is Dr. David Carrol in the office with Dr. Kenneth Vick, Jackson?

I am going it alone, my family is not okay with it. They are afraid that something might go wrong. I am going on without there support because I have to do this for me. I am waiting on my first appt. pray for my sucess and I will do the same for all of you.

Hi I am from Collins, I am in the process of using Dr. Vick, Jackson. I have just begin the process, waiting on my 1st appt hopefully within the next week.

OMG -:confused: - It is so nice to finally find some patients who is from MS. I am from Collins, MS. I have just went thru the process of getting all my information together:rolleyes:. Sent it to the Dr. Vick in Jackson, Ms. (have anyone used him? if so please give me some info on how fast his process is) I mailed all my papers in two weeks ago, contact my insurance company, they gave the okay that they do cover it. got a call yesterday ,they are sending me a package out to read and go over and someone will be calling me for my first appointment very shortly. I hope everything goes fast.:drool:

Are there any patient in MS that have had the Lapband procedure? Looking for someone to relate to while I go thru these procedures.

Dr. Carroll has a very nice receptionist that answer the phone. she inform me of a seminar on the 25th of August along with other information due to the first office visit. A good staff is what make a doctor worth using.

Do everyone have to do liquid before the surgery, and why is it that each person time line is different (how long they have to do liquid)

Just curious....I notice that you are changing Dr's. I am just beginning my process, Is there somethingI need to look for in a doctor?
