My name is Kerry and i live in Pensacola Florida.  I have been trying my hardest to find a way to get the lap band surgery.  I am currently on medicaid and was enrolled in a 12 month program before my surgery. I have completed 7 and a half months.  They just recently sent me a letter stating that the state of florida has switched their program.  Now i am no longer able to finish.  I am left trying to find another way.  I am very upset and feel awful.  i was extremely motivated and already put myself on a 1500 calorie or less diet and began working out and now i feel like im having to start from the begining.  I know that somehow i will find a way to complete my journey..i just hope its soon enough that my children are still young.  I have 3 children and it is very disheartening to have to explain to a 3, 4, and 11 year old that mommy cant do the things they ask me to do..i hope that there is someone is out there that can give me some information on where to look next.
