You have doctors confused. You used dr. geiss. I'm referring to dr. gabriel. I have a way better dr. now.

I have a new date, it's hard for me to get excited because I won't believe it until I see it. New dr. is 100% better than crappy dr. gabriel my husband even likes him and thinks he's way better!

Saw new lap band doc of course he knocked the first one I really do not think this one will be intimidated by husband like the last. Ijust need to do 2 tests the other one did not require. Can schedule surgery 3 weeks after he gets the results and does a physical. Problem I am terrified of doctors and totally do not trust them. Pray I never get sick and need one. I think Dr. holover is a better dr, surgeon, person but I'm still apprehensive. The office was just way more professional, more what I'm used to.

One other thing I want to mention this dr. has no malpractice history which makes me feel alot better not like the other idiot.

O.k. your not going to believe this little napoleon thinks I still want him t operate on me accrding to the investigator from the dept. of health. He was forced to send me my medical records, they fabricated stuff regarding attending groups and following a diet for a year . I'll assume this was for insurance approval. Of course no one ever asked me to attend a group or check on following a diet, I stopped seeing the nutritionist after I got a $400 bill for one session because I didn't want to pay that since everyone at the seminar was told it cost $25 per session. Of course I wouldn't let this dr. (I use the term loosely) touch my dog let alone me. I just want him to be accountable for his actions because obviosly he thinks he's above it. Oh, and he told the investigator that he cancelled my surgery because my husband was threatening with the office manager. This is not true he asked him to go by "the Book" and wanted a financial break down of out of pocket expenses. Anyone who knows the office manager knows she's no shrinking violet. What are they trying to hide over there? That their playing fast and furious with the insurance companies and peoples lives to make as much money as possible. This is my opinion but shorter men always have to prove themselves because they feel inferior but dr. g.'s ego is tall enough to make up for his lack of height. I never heard so much self promoting hype in my life. I feel very fortunate that i was spared from surgery with this second rate dr. These are my opinions based on my personal experience with this dr. and other people may have a different experience.

The investigater called me at work yesterday. Unfortunatley I work in a school and I was in the cafeteria and couldn't hear good but he will be investigating my complaint.

Hey Dream, you emailed me you never had any problems with the 2 fills you had. Could you be fibbing. Looks like your not the only one with overfill problems from dr. Gabriel. Anyway I'm still happy your happy but honesty is the best policy. Didn't your mom teach you that!

run do not walk to another dr. Your dr. is not one of the most sought out he is one of the most heavily advertized. Dr. Gabriel is a self promoter this does not make him the best. He is just greedy and accepts all insurances. Dr. Brathwaite is the dr. to go to on long island. As far as the nutritionist goes she does not even listen to you she reads from a book so of course she doesn't understand what your telling her. It's about seeing the most patients and making the most money . Don't give up find a better dr. Even dr. amad in port jeff is better than gabriel. You should report bothe your dr.s to the dept. of health for medical misconduct. keep us posted

The doctor you are using is poorly rated, even by his own patients. You should look into other doctors. There are much better ones on Long Island. Try Dr. Brathwaite.

I tried to pick up these notes, they will not give them. My insurance covers everything but the copays. My approval is good for 6 months. Yes you are right there are issues with the state boards they are investigating complaints.

just one other thing i forgot to mention dr. gabriel did not adequately prepare me for surgery. You are not suppossed to drink 6 weeks prior to. I saw this on the pre-op paperwork 11/2 weeks before my surgery during an office visit. I told him i had alot of parties that weekend and would be drinking alcohol, He did not tell me not to . He said start pre-op diet 1 week prior to surgery which was the following Mon.

I called admitting to find out the time of my surgery which was scheduled for feb.1. they told me i was not on the schedule and to call harriet the office manager. i called her , she called back and told me dr. would not be doing the surgery and she is not at liberty to tell me why. I get a letter stating dr. patient relationship is broken. I do not understand what he is refering to so i call harriet she tells me she can't tell me and to go to dr. braithwaite. i tell her i can't do this because of insurance. believe me he was my first choice because he has a phenomenal reputation and that is the kind of dr. i want but i had to settle for this self promoting quack. So anyway I'm getting bored of my own story just trying to help others so they don't make the same mistakes.

no, I did not cheat on my pre op diet. When I called admitting for a time they told me i was not on the schedule and to call harriet. she told me dr. was not doing the surgery and he sent me a letter. the letter said a violation in the dr. patient relationship had occurred. i assure you not on my part. although he did violate my confidentiality by speaking with my husband without my permission. I think my husband scared him with all his questions . he was afraid he would be held accountable for any problems. believe me he is a cold hearted, heatless individual. My husband had him pegged from the beginning as a "scumbag". He thought he was a bad dr. because of his heavy marketing. he's a "marketer". I hate to admit he was right. My husband basically was questioning the ethicacy of doing this surgery on me because he thinks I don't really need it. Everyone I told pretty much said the same thing and were relieved i didn't have the surgery. My husband also questioned their billing practices and they did not like that. Also, now they refuse to give me my medical records. I just need copies of the office notes which I am entitled to by law. This makes me really suspicious. What are they hiding? I believe they changed stuff to make me qualify for surgery put higher wieghts etc. Anyway, I just wouldn't want anyone else to go through this. Go to someone else. do yourself a huge favor and find another dr. A second opinion cannot hurt.
