  1. hi there... i know what u going thru.. im sorry for everything tht has happened with u!!! keep strong... well i kind of relaxed on my band after almost 3 years being banded.. wht i needed to realize was that the band is just a tool that will help us to where we want to be, a health place.... so after gainin almost 15 lbs i deceded to join weight watchers,, it helped me a lot.. it made me focus on me, and seeing results made me feel awesome.. my lowest was when i got married in 2010 (I Was banded in 2008), i weighted 158.. n slowly crawled to 175lbs. i felt like a failure.. but now being in weight watchers since march, iam now weighting 145!. so do it. if its not weight watchers, i am sure u will find something that will make u focus on u, n see that u deserve this.. good lucky!!! dont ever forget the long way u came, dont give up "
  2. ok.. its hard!!! but think of it as a step u r taking to a new life, once this passes u will look back n think it was all worth it.. try to ocupy ur day with a lot of things so u dont think abt meals or food... good luck,,, n this will all pay off trust me
  3. I had my surgery in Feb 2009! the first few months i followed every rule and stayed away from bad food... i had lost 90 lbs n was really happy! everyone around me kept complimenting me n i felt great! (starting weight 250- lowest 158lbs. now 170) but after i would say 18 months i started to relax.. i remember exactly asking my doctor if i could have ice cream, he told me yes, fat free/ sugar free n in moderation, like a "reward" once in a while.. tht was when everything started, i started having an ice cream once in a while fat free ice cream to an almost every day regular ice cream.. then i started back on regular food, from tiny little plates to regular non lap band person plate.. well i dont want to tell my every detail.. whats going on is that I am eating a lot... and bad food choices... i met a co worker that has lost 100 lbs in 4 months.,. he has a motivation that i envy,, i feel like a loser, ashamed, n specially like i've thown the greatest opportunity to be happy n lose weight away.. someone please help me
  4. thanks for all the replies.. it feels good to know i am not alone.. i know it is my fault that i am not losing weight.. and sometimes it feels better to keep telling myself i hit a plateau than blaming myself for it. i am getting married in august. even that doesnt seem to motivate me.. i dont know what to do anymore,,, i know i dont look like i did before surgery but i still consider myself huge and ugly. even though ppl are always complimenting me! =(
  5. I had my surgery in Feb. 09, and so far I've lost 90lbs. But for the past 3 months my weight hasnt changed, i even gain 1-2lbs but lose it eventually! I cant eat small portions anymore, (compare to the 2oz i had in the beggining, but they are not big) and i eat bad stuff, but i just seem to get my motivation back! has someone been through that? if so please help me!!! i am desperate and sad:sad:
