Approval today
Oh yes I remember the day I found out that I was approved. you would have thought I won the lottery. I was so happy. Yes then scared. But I was ready. I am so glad I did it. I Just had surgery on 7/13 and not had my first fill but if I would not have done this, my blood sugar would still be out of control and I would not be able to breath when I walk and I would still be on the 2 blood pressure meds instead of the one I am on now. So it can only keep getting better. Good luck. We are on a new adventure.

Hello fellow lapbanders
Well I am really bumbed. I was not going to share my problem I am having but decided I am bumbed enough about it I would go ahead. About a week and a half ago I started taking calcium because I was told to. Well, now I can't go to the bathroom, you know..... poop!!!!! And today I weighed in with a 1.2 lb weight gain. :frown: I am so depressed. It was my goal to never have a gainl. But they assured me that if I take the benifiber I will start going again. What a hassle. Well okay I was told in group today that for every negative I say about self I have to say a positive so, this week I am able to drop one of my blood pressure meds and my blood sugar is staying around 100-115. So there we go. Oh and I had a pair of shorts on for the first time in 2 years today. yeeha!!! Man are my legs white. I'll have to work on that.

Recently Banded
Hello and congradulations to all of you. I have not had my first fill yet. I can't wait though. I am hungrier now than when I was on the liquid diet, pre surgery. Surgery was July 13 and 1st fill is Aug. 13.

Hello fellow lapbanders
Thanks yellowtopaz. I need all the encouragement possible. How far into this process are you? How much have you lost? If I have succeeded at anything in my life, this is it.

Hello fellow lapbanders
thanks for the response. Man it feels good to have someone you can relate to. I am doing good. I have lost 20 all together. 7.7 since the surgery. Today was weigh in. I know that I have to step up the exercise. I am so bad about that. I just went back to work after 3 weeks off for funeral and surgery and I just don't want to exercise. No excuse though. How are you doing on the exercise? And how long did it take you to lose the 60? that is great. What did you do? As we speak I am so hungry. I better chew a piece of gum. lol Take care

Taken in July just before surgery

Hello fellow lapbanders
It seems that my surgery pretty much is controling my life. That is okay though. It is good to have something to be excited about and to have a goal set for myself. I had my surgery on July 13th. So I am just 2 1/2 weeks post banding. I do not get my first fill until 8/13. I can't wait. I want to feel the restriction. I think I need that extra push. I am hungrier now than I was the 3 weeks prior to surgery when I was on the liquid diet. It is a bigger battle than I thought. It never entered my mind that I would not feel full on this little diet I am on now. I just did not think about the waiting period for the 1st fill. I do anticipate great rewards in the long run though.

September, My Surgery Month
Wow this is my first ever blog entry. I just had my surgery on 7/13. I remember that long wait while doing all I had to do for surgery. I researched and studied for a year before I decided to do this. then, 6 months before I could do it? Oh no!!! But I made it through. I went back and forth also but hey I am pleased I did it with 20 lbs closer to my goal than I was 2 months ago. I have to believe that the people who are not succeeding are not following the dr's rules. I want to do it to the letter. Some day I am going to go rock climbing in Maine.

Hi there. I was banded on 7/13. I have lost a total of 7.7 lbs since surgery, but 20 from the beginning of the liquid diet prior to surgery. I have not had a fill yet. No blog at this time. I am excited to start this new venture in life. I am going to succeed.
