in 2007, i went for lapband surgery. being only 16 at the time i wasn't surprised insurance didn't allow it, but definitely disappointed. two years later i went through the process again and still insurance finds a way to the day i was scheduled for surgery i got a call saying that our insurance had switched over and i would have to go through six months of nutritional counseling. after only one day of living off a jello my mind couldn't fathom...anything. i didn't know what to do or even say to that. i know money shouldn't be a part of this, but it is. i'm close to giving up on this.

i'm pretty sure my doctor told me that the hernia is something that can be fixed during the procedure.
