  1. I, too, had some astounding burps post-op, as well as a gurgly tummy. A couple of weeks ago, during a midterm, my stomach was growling louder than the pits of hell...the girl next to me kept looking at me like what is wrong with you? Since then, I make sure to eat SOMETHING before class :bored:
  2. I know the feeling! I had a period for a little over a month while taking birth control pills. I have endometriosis, and when I went to see my OB-GYN he started me on a different brand and I'm doing great. Maybe you should try switching birth control methods? I told my doctor that I had had LapBand in June, and he said cycles usual get BETTER with weight loss, not worse.
  3. I drink at least one of these everyday! Mine only have 25g of protein per shot, but it's still a very effective way to get your protein in.
  4. mine's right in the middle, a few inches above my waistline.
  5. thanks so much for the info! my first fill isn't until the 23rd (kinda nervous!). please let me know how yours goes!
  6. yay! i thought i was the only 19 y/o to have lapband lol. as for the metformin, i've never vomited b/c of it...just REALLY BAD GAS.
  7. I know somebody else (older than me) who was banded by my doctor, and she said the same thing to her. I should have been a little more specific lol.
  8. My doctor told me to wait 1 year before drinking. I guess it's not a big deal for me, though, since I won't be 21 until next July:tongue2:
  9. Hello, everybody! I had a quick question about eating meat after surgery. I've heard that it is okay to eat tuna or very moist chicken during the "mushies" stage of the post-op diet, but the paperwork my nutritionist gave me says to stay away from it. The post-op diet suggested to me is as follows: Week 1-Clear liquids and Protein drinks Week 2-regular liquids and Protein Drinks Weeks 3 & 4-mushies Week 5-regular food, chopped into tiny bits Week 6-regular food  I know that different surgeons suggests different diets to their patients, and I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on the issue. I'd appreciate your input!
