  1. Thanx Everyone!!! I guess I am being a little too hard on myself!
  2. Hello Everyone, I have posted in a while, but lately, I've been feeling a little discouraged. I was leeved on 8/27/09, and as of right now I have only lost about 84lbs. I feel as though I should've lost more by now!!! I dont what to to do! I am a full time nursing student and I work as well, so I'm always on the go, but seldom have time for "organized/planned" exercise! Some days I find it hard to get all my Protein in as well, I guess I need more on the go options that can be prepared ahead of time. I have also stalled for the last month, it's all just sooooo upsetting:sad0:! Did I mention that I'm also getting married this summer ( something else that keeps me busy and takes up my time)??? Has anyone else experienced a slow weightloss ot long stall??????? I need help and suggestions.....Thanx
  3. Sorry, I did not realize the original post date. I guess I'm late.
  4. Definitely SF popsicles...I would also say some tea( ex. peppermint/chamomille...etc... I never heard of snicker bars, what are they for? I had sx on 8/27, but this is my first time hearing about snickers bars.....I would also be sure to have a heating pad and gas x strips handy because you may experience some major gas pains :-(
  5. Thanks, I appreciate it! I will be going to Trader Joes tomorrow!
  6. Thanks!!! I am actually doing and feeling great!!!!! I have not had any difficulties ( Thank you Jesus!) However, I am having difficulty getting in all of protein on this full liquid stage... Any suggestions on how to get all the protein in? Or does it get better/easier with mushies and solids?
  7. Hey Guys, I was sleeved on 8/27!!!!!! 1 post op, down 17lbs!!!
  8. Any advice on how long the gas will last or what to do for it?
  9. Thanks everyone, I am still very excited, but with a twinge of nervousness:001_unsure:. My only concern now is how will I get al the fluids and protein in throughout the day because I am a nursing student and spend most of my time between classes, clinicals, and work! So, I am just trying to devise a plan to get everything in!!!
  10. I am so excited, I went to see my doctor today and he gave me a date for 8/27/09!!!!!!! It seems surreal!!! If anyone has any specific tips or tricks of the trade, please let me know!!!!! Thanks!:biggrin0::thumbup:
  11. Thanks VegasAngel for that information!!! I will definitely look into seeing a chiropractor!! What symptoms did you eperience with TMJ? Or was this solely discovered upon being evaluated by a chiropractor? I am so ready to be over these things.
  12. Hi Kauser, My doctor is Dr Alex Gandsas, at Sinai Hospital, in Baltimore. I will probably get my date in about a month or so. When and where will you be having your surgery? I hope that you will keep me updated on your progress and we could maybe be each other's support since we are both pre-sleevers~:lol0: I was glad to find this site, that focuses on vsg's
  13. Just wanted to introduce myself....... I am currently going through all of my pre-op requirements. I am excited and excited and nervous all at once. I am 25 and live in Baltimore. I have been considering WLS for the past 3 yrs, first the band, then the rxy, and now I have finally decided on the Vsg!!! I would really appreciate if anyone cares 2 share their story or insight with me. P.S. I am a migraine sufferer and was wondering is/was there anyone who experienced migraines before WLS? If so, did they go away after losing the weight? If not, what are you able to take since having WLS? Thanks in Advance:biggrin0:
