    Realize Band

Hello, I was banded Aug 17th. with the Realize band and I have had 3 fills (I had to cancell a couple because of sickness) But at my last visit, the fill nurse was telling me that with the Realize band they have found out that the fills need to be more than with the lap band. At first they were just putting in normal amounts - but now they are putting in 3cc's at a time and am finally getting some restiction. I currently have 7cc's in mine. I am hoping this next time will be the sweet spot. Hope this helps. Deb.......

Is nausea normal when you lay down?

This is not related to being sick to my stomach - I am still in the process to be banded. But, I was wondering where you were banded at - I also live in KY and am looking at Central Baptist in Lexington. If you would prefer, you can send me a private email. Talk to ya soon.
  4. I am looking at getting banded. Just wondering if anyone has been banded at Central Baptist in Lexington, KY - if so - what was your experience? Any helpful information - good, bad or indifferent. Thanks so much.....
  5. Hello everyone, I was just wondering - has anybody ever decided against the Lap band after reading about it? I am 44 yrs. old with heart problems. After my last little visit to the ER to get my heart back into sinus - my cardiologist talked to me about the lap band. My bmi is 39 - but I am not sure I have both feet in the boat to have this done. I went to Central Baptist (Lexington, KY.) for a seminar and have been reading lots about this procedure - My initial understanding is that you can eat normal foods (not "slider" foods) just low cal and low fat - the lap band is a tool - but I still have to do my part - as with any diet. I have been reading a lot about people throwing up a lot, and some other things......... What do you think?? Sorry this is so long...... Debbie:thumbup:

    New here - just wondering...........

Jill Thank you so much for the info. I am so happy for you. As you know - when your ticker does not tock....things go south from there.... I have spoken to several people about this - including other Drs. I was amazed at how many people have looked into being Lap banded and they all have nothing but positive words and even information. Again.... THANK YOU! And I hope you have continued success with your band and no more afib. Debbie
