  1. Hi KTK! Best of luck with whichever surgery you select. It sounds like you are committed to making a change. I have a friend, Lise, who also chose the lapband surgery and has great success with it. She keeps a blog called lisetheloser.com, where she talks about her lapband stories. You might want to check it out and find out more about life with a lapband. Best wishes!

michelle, good luck with your recovery. It sounds like you are doing really well so far, and that you are on your way. Another friend of mine, Lise, is further along in her lapband journey, and it's been a positive experience for her. You can check out her blog and compare notes at lisetheloser.com. Keep it up, you'll be fine! (and you are right, there are so many food commercials on TV it's nuts).
  3. Malissa, you can do it! Small steps first, but you can work your way up to it! If you haven't worked out in awhile, you might want to check in with your doctor first, just to get a thumbs up. BillOh, that's amazing, what great stories and what great success! Are any of you tracking your daily runs or anything? My friend Fran runs marathons (!) and she tracks her workouts. I have been trying it out online through my HealthVault account but I've got to get into a groove. I like seeing my progress, but I have to admit I get distracted and busy. One more thing to do on days when just doing anything is the goal! I am so inspired by all of your stories. Can't wait to hear more!
  4. That sounds so painful! I hope that you are feeling better!
  5. Band75, I don't know what to say; my thoughts are with you. You should obviously talk with your doctor about the recent barium swallow x-rays to see if there are any potential health issues. There are other sites you can explore, there is a good pregnancy forum on MSN Health and Fitness as well as in the mom logic community. Probably the best place to start is with your doctor regarding your current medical issues. I wish you all the best.
