  1. I had the same thing for several weeks after my surgery. I was convinced something was wrong also. I kept taking my gas x-strips. I don't know for sure that's what's happening to you...but I also found if I layed down for awhile it would ease up or disappear until I ate again. I was self pay so I just knew that something was wrong but in the end it was just me worrying! It eventually after several weeks went away. I don't know if this helps you but I can relate to what you're going through. Good Luck!
  2. Congratulations!! You should be very proud of yourself. You're an inspiration!
  3. I was feeling a bit nervous about surgery tomorrow but after reading your posts I can see I have so much to look forward to. lol Seriously though, all the postings help to know what to expect and to know there are many others out there going through the same process and sharing their experiences for those of us following in their footsteps.
  4. I'm on day 11 of my pre-op liquid shakes...can't believe I've made it this far. I'm using Bariatric Advantage and they aren't tasting too bad. Just keeping my eye on June 23!! Can't believe all the different pre-op diets there are. Mine seems to be brutal. lol
  5. It's great to find fellow banders from the area. I am being banded on June 23 by Dr. Brad Watkins @ Cincinnati Weight Loss Center in West Chester.
  6. I'm on day 9 of my pre-op diet and still have the strength to tell about it.(haha) My biggest highlight of the day is to get to chew my vitamin. Thank goodness for that. What a treat!:blushing:
  7. I'm scheduled for my surgery on June 23 and I'm looking forward to my new way of life, just trying to keep my eye on the prize. This is day 6 of my liquid pre-op and it's going to be challenging as we're going to a graduation party. It's swimming and cook out. If asked why not eating only drinking I intend to say I'm trying to lose before my sons wedding in Sept. Wish me luck!
  8. I take the Viactiv Multi-Vitamin. It's a chewable milk chocolate one. It's like my treat of the day. My Dr. had me start them the first day of my Pre-Op Diet which was this week. On day 5 and they've been my life savor for chewing! I know you can get them at Walmart or CVS.
  9. I started my Pre-Op three days ago and that's what my Doctor's office has us use. I bought the strawberry, the chocolate, the vanilla and the banana that way I could have variety. They all are good. I couldn't believe it. I rotate the flavors so that I won't get sick of one kind. I use Water to mix them but you can use skim milk also. Hope this helps. Becky:thumbup:
  10. I'm on day three of my pre-op diet and it seems to be going okay. I was worried about the protein shakes because I had tried Weight Watcher ones before and they tasted nasty to me. I am using the Bariatric Advantage Meal Replacement from the surgeons office using water and fruit. I was worried I would be sick or dying of hunger because I have to be on the liquids for 14 days. So far I have been pleasantly surprised at the taste and consistancy. I even called the office to make sure they really meant I could use the fruit in them...they said as long as it was smooth!! Thank goodness! I only pray I continue to be satisfied on them. My only other fear is my liver won't be small enough....wish I had a camera to view it's size (haha) I can't hardly wait until June 23!!
