  1. I had my first fill about a month ago and the same thing happened to me. During my second fill, she was able to add 1 cc without any complications. In fact, I'm still not feeling any restriction which stinks but I can only hope this thing will start working soon. Ok, I lied, I can still eat a lot but sometimes, certain foods (bread, brocoli, etc) don't go down. So there must be some increase in restriction. I emphathize, let's just hope this starts working.
  2. I was banded about 3 weeks ago. I lost 10 pounds the first week after surgery on the liquid diet. Since then, I haven't lost any weight. I am eating less but am still capable of eathing a normal meal. I know it sounds strange but I'm almost concerned about the lack of side effects. I read so much about people vomiting, not being able to eat certain foods, having to crush medications, getting the stuck feeling, having to chew thoroughly, etc. I haven't had any issues and like I said, I can eat normal, not huge meals and tolerate almost any kind of food. But no weight loss. After reading these post, I'm guessing that will happen after the first fill. Any thoughts?
  3. Reading this helps so much. I was wondering how people return to work so quickly also. And I was worried about the gas but not anymore since a lot of you have the same issue. No matter what I drink, I feel like I need to burp but can't. It is amazing how every doctor has a different plan. Thankfully, I'm only on liquids for three more days and then the glory of mushy foods!
  4. Hey LindsayB, I don't know if I can offer any encouragement but I feel your pain. I was banded on Friday too and have been STARVING ever since. I was really hoping the hunger would go away. The liquids and even Protein shakes don't seem to help much. Really looking forward to the mushy food phase. My stomach is constantly rumbling, probably partially because of gas from the surgery. TMI... Best of luck and let me know if you come up with anything to help.
