got it Shirley, thanks thank you everyone for the words of encouragement and support, it means alot to me. For personal reasons I will not go back to my regular surgeon, so today I took the steps to get records released to another dr to do my fills. He is wonderful, and his staff is excellent. As for the divorce, I am to the point where it's his loss, not so much mine anymore. I have been talking to a really sweet guy I met online who is a little older than me, he hasnt seen anything other than my face but know's I am voluptuous lol. I just hope he doesn't run when we meet in person. Things can only get better when you have been as low as you can go.

Hey everyone, I have not posted in a long time. I was banded 10-16. I have not lost much. I am going through a nasty divorce and I have lost all willpower. I have a 1cc fill and it's not cutting it. I can eat whatever. I am so depressed about losing my family (husband, normal way of life) and I cannot bring myself to excersize. I am so totally PO'd at myself. I cannot go back for a fill until I lose some weight. They will give me the third degree, I can't deal with that on top of everything else. Money is tight, I sold some stuff on ebay just to be able to raise enough to get a used ipod to help motivate me to excersize and now it has been "lost' in the mail. The seller said so sorry too bad, now I don't even have the stupid ipod. Can someone kick my butt for me? I need it.

UHC too, was approved in less than 2 weeks. No co-morbitites either.

my insicions are getting itchy!!! ARGH! 10 days out and healing nicely what are you guys putting on yours if anything to relieve the dryness and itchiness?

Nanette, were you offered the choice of coming here to El Paso? I am like 250 miles from you. I know my surgeon gets TONS of bandsters from ALB. Just curious as to why you chose Dallas. Oh, I was up and walking the night of my surgery (had it at 2, in recovery waiting for a room for 5 hours!!!)

I went to the movies and had a nice long bath the night before. Good luck, I was nervous as I could be and I sailed right through it.

ok, so I am 6 days out and I feel really good today Did anyone get some nasty bruises with their heparin shots? I can't wait for those to go away lol. My insicions look really good, but I swear the liquid thing is making me crazy. One more week till mushies!!

Hey everyone, I am home. Surgery went well on Monday thw 16th. I was nervous but do not remember a thing until I woke up in recovery. I was on morphine for pain and my blood pressure dropped to 82/64 overnight. I rested off and on all night and this morning had the xray, then some tea and soup and then came home today. I am not in pain, jut feel sore like I have done a bunch of sit ups. I am on liquids for 2 weeks. Tell me this guys, do the liquids go right through you or are you suposed to feel full after like 1/4 cup of broth etc?

well I am finally doing it. I was really excited but now I am not. My husband left me a month ago and I feel like crap. He won't be there for me, my MIL will. I am so nervous and scared to go in tomorrow I knwo they will give me versed, has anyone had it?

Hey everyone, I am joining here :girl_hug: I FINALLY have a date. October 16th at noon. Went today to do labs, EKG, and pre-register. All I have to do now is show up. Oh, and I have lost 12 lbs since I had my 1st appt. a month ago.

pre op thursday and surgery next week!!! Took me 13 days with UHC, in case anyone is wondering.

I have UHC, and from what I hear they are quick to approve and very lap band friendly. I had my psych last week and everything is done, just waiting on my approval.

I have my nipple peirced, and it hurt like hell. It was like a white hot pain, and sore for days. Is there something I can put in the hole while having surgery? I don't want mine closing up on me at all.

what is WITH some people??? And a Dr. at that! What a meany, what a bad additude she has.
