Ok here we go.  A few years ago I was diagnosed with severe lymphedema which is a constant and severe swelling of my lower left leg. Since being diagnosed with this I have battled with my weight. It continued to skyrocket no matter what I did. My body retained more & more water and I was bedridden for a while.  To complicate things more I became pregnant which I thought was impossible  after my son!  After months of bedrest and several hospitalizations I had my daughter to an emergency c section and we became a family of 4.    After some major personal changes we settled in our new home and I began my quest for a lapband. I went to the seminar in July 08 and 11 months later on June 15th, 2009 I was banded.  I needed 6 months worth of doctors notes and I had to go through all the tests that were required once all was done it only took the insurance 6-8 weeks for approval.  Now its 12 days post surgery and I have lost a total of 28lbs.  many more soon to be lost !
