  2. I was banded July 16th and so far so good. I'm having trouble getting enough calories in a day is about it. I'm about 500-600 right now at the most. I start puree foods soon so I'm looking forward to that. I'm walking everyday and I've lost about 30 lbs so far. I had about 10 lbs weight lost before surgery. I had yummy refried beans today and it tasted like heaven!:juggle: Hang in there everyone, you are doing great!
  3. Day 4 has been the hardest for me so far. I'm have some pain and its hard to even drink today. I'm going to get up and go walking I'm sure that will help. I have a visit with my Dr. on the 22nd and then I'll be on the full liquid diet. I'm actually excited about pudding. ha! This too shall pass!

  5. My surgery is tomorrow!!!!:wub: I'm nervous and excited but ready. Anyone with tips on the few days after surgery and what to expect?

  7. Hi, I'm also a July bander. I'm being banded July 16th so three days and counting. Thanks for everyone that post it give a good perspective on what to expect. Any advice for the first week? Something you would have done diffrent?
  8. I have BCBS of NC and the total process took about three and a half months. It took two hours for approval. :biggrin: The waiting is the worse but its worth it in the end. My surgery is July 16th so right around the corner. I'm so excited. Good Luck to all of you and keep updating.

  10. :redface: Good for you! I'm ready like yesterday. I'm in Raleigh so not too far away. My husband thinks I'm nuts because I'm so impatient. I finished up everything May 19th and haven't heard a peep yet. Good Luck to you and I hope everything goes well!

  13. Sterlingstar1- I wanted to post to say I'm currently with Dr. Moran too. I'm waiting for insurance approval and wanted to see how long it took for you? Also how long before you got a surgery date. I was so happy to see someone else on here with Dr. Moran. :redface:
