My doc and I decided to do a little unfill. He only took out .25cc. I was at 5.5, now at 5.25 and it made a big difference. I was not losing any weight because I was afraid to eat regular food, so I was eating slider foods. I was getting stuck a lot and not able to eat until the afternoon, and then, I needed to drink something warm so I would not be so constricted. I am not nervous now to go out to eat and can eat the foods I am suppose to to lose weight. It doesn't take me an hour to try to eat a meal now. Thanks for your comments and post. You helped me to make the right decision.
  2. 1. 2 to 4 times a month 2. I always drink hot tea with lemon because anything cold constricts me. When I go out to eat, I get nervous and I think that causes me to constrict and PB. I worry about being the last one to finish eating, and worry about getting stuck. The warm tea helps to open me up and be able to get the food down better and not get stuck. 3. I usually just eat soup or mushies for the rest of the day. 4. I PB over waiting it out. I want to out of pain and I slime a lot. 5. PB is far less easier than I expected. When I start having saliva collect in my mouth and not go down (slimming) I know I am stuck and it has to come up 6 When I know (#5 answer) is happening I immediately excuse myself and go to the restroom. No embarrassing moments except always being the last one at the table to finish, and everybody is waiting on me. Good luck on undertaking such a project. I am an avid fan of all your blogs, and you have really helped me a lot!

I was banded 9-09. I have only lost about 40lbs. I have not lost any weight for the past 2 months. I have not had a fill since NOV. OR Dec. I can't remember which month. I have 5.5cc. I can not eat anything until about 2pm because I am so tight in the mornings. I drink liquids until 2 or eat slider foods. after 2pm I can eat almost anything and lots of it 2,3,4 cups of soup, or whatever. If I try to eat an egg, or anything else I get stuck and start slimming and of course throw up. When I go out to eat I get a little nervous and always get stuck and PB. I do chew slow and eat very very slow. My questions are...Do you think because I am worrying about the possibility of getting stuck an having to eat so slow (everyone is always sitting there starring a me because they are waiting on me to finish eating so we can leave.) that maybe I have constriction? I always PB when I am in that situation. Or Do you think I have stretched my stomach, or do I need a fill? I go to the doctor Friday and I don't know what to tell him. I have probably gained 2 or 3 lbs. I work out 4 to 5 days a week. May be I just over eat in the afternoons. I never feel fully satisfied or full. I just don't know what to tell the Doc. Even before the Doc comes in the room the nurse will stick her head in the door and ask if i need a fill. What should I tell the Doc this Friday?:rolleyes2::confused::confused:

I failed to mention the main subject. My age is 58. It was my first time to create a blog and I thought my state and age would appear on the left side of the screen. Again I have appts. in 3 weeks with surgeon, phyc., and nutritionalist . I am on several medications for cholesterol, Bp, and weight 220 and 5'3. I have not read too many blogs from people in my age group, but I finally found a thread for the 50's group. That was helpful. Thanks for responding in N.C. Has anyone used the doctors at Baptist hospital in Winston-Salem, NC? Dr. Fuzz Fernadez?

I have been to one seminar, and I have my first appointment with the surgeon in 3 weeks. I already have an appointment with the physicologist and nutritionist in 4 weeks. I have already been cleared by my ins. I have read all the blogs and it seems that everyone is between 20 and 40 yrs old. I weigh around 220 and I am pretty good condition but take some meds. Am I too old? Is there anyone out there my age that has been banded?
