I went to my first seminar in December 2008.  I was not impressed by the first set of doctors that I met so I attended a second seminar at Memorial Hospital.  Dr. Cywes and Baptista were the surgeons and I was blown away.  Made appointment to see them and began the journey.  I had all the necessary blood work, EKG, chest xrays, psychologist, nutrionist and fitness contultants.  I weighed 252.  I started the restricted diet on April 8th and got banded on May 5, 2009.  It is now September 2009 and I weigh 214.5 as of my last visit on August 13th.  I have gotten food stuck once and hope that will not happen again.  Not pleasant.  I look forward to what the future holds.  I am very excited about the whole prospect of being healthy.
