The only problem I had with Tricare is that they would not let me use the only doctor in town that does lap-bands. I have to drive almost 2 hours to the doctor that they approved. He is absolutely wonderful, so I don't really mind. It only took a week to get approval after my consultation appt. As soon as they got that, they gave me a date 2 weeks from then. As long as you meet their criteria, Tricare will approve you pretty quick!
Hi,
I'm currently doing the pre-op diet. My date is June 1. The only shakes that I have been able to tolerate are Nutralite Meal Replacement Shakes. They are expensive, but taste pretty good. 140 calories, 15 grams of protein. I got them from a website called toyourhealth.com. It is supossed to be made with natural ingredients or something, so maybe that's why they are a littel pricey. Anyways, hope this helps. :wink2:
I was just approved through Tricare, also. I was suprised that it only took a week to get approval. My date is June 1, 2009. I can't wait, I'm so excited that I am finally going to lose this weight!!!
Good luck to you!!
