  1. . The other night I was eating a peice of chicken breast that my husband burnt the cr@p out of! It was so dry and it got stuck and I eventually threw it up. But I went right back to my corn on the cobb and was able to eat it! I dont' want to constantly be getting stuck, I want to feel FULL and lose interest in food! I have a question, I am still not banded. I keep reading posts on how some people PB and then continue eating. This to me just sounds like glutony, Seriously if you are sick wouldnt that be a deterent not to eat. Or perhaps wait and then try eating something lighter. I was talking to my friend who is banded and she has episodes where she will take 2 bites of something PB and then go back and take 2 bites again. I was like WTF didnt you learn the first time. I'm not sure if this type of behavior is common, but like I said I have read several posts in which it is. I guess I wont know until I get banded.
  2. Ok so if you own a vitamix why would you even consider buying an inferior blender? Vitamix is the only blender you need IMO
  3. O.k I think we all have an extensive list of wants. I'm looking forward to not having that dull achy back. Also what girl in their right mind isnt going to say new clothes.
  4. I so love smoothies.... my kiddos really like them too. I think thats probrobly going to be the way for me. Thanks for all yuor great replies.
  5. Wow I fell like a total thread jacker!! My hubby thought he was being funny when he told me what he said. I thought It was rather cruel. We have a steady relationship and 3 beautiful children. I certainly hope that me loosing weight won't change anything. He is also a big guy 6'0 265. Men carry weight a whole lot better than we do. Or is it perhaps more acceptable for a guy to be heavy? IDK.. It is funny that you mention your hubby having WLS. My husband was joking while we were at the seminar he looked at the BMI chart and candidly said "hey I would have to gain weight in order to be a good candidate". I just laughed it off. But it angered me just a tad. I still dont think he thinks I'm serious about doing this.
  6. I have already had 3 BA's in the past. I was just wondering if anyone was in the same boat. I wasnt considering having them done. Thanks for your response.
  7. I just want to know what I should expect once I start to loose weight. TIA
  8. Wow guys thanks for all the insight. I dont want you to think that my husband was just being some mind controling a hole or anything. I certanly don't suffer from low selfesteem. I have always been chubby and have dealt with it my whole life. I have had some cosmetic procedures to deal with that lolz!! Despite me being overweight I am still quite shapely which he really enjoys. What he said to me was maybe him being a little insecure. I have assured him that we are in for the long haul and that has appeased him for now. I guess we will see how it turns out.
  9. Thanks for the replies guys. Fruit isn't a topic that many people talk about on here. I was just curious.
  10. Hi I am also starting to go through the approval process and my hubby has not been as suportive. Ok not supportive at all I got him to go to the seminar with me and he still is not fully on board. He has told me that he likes me the way I am. But I don't like me the way I am. I have gained and lost weight over the years. I have 3 children that I have to be healthy for. But most of all I have to do this for myself. I know a little selfish but It needs to be done. My husband made me cry the other day he told me "so your just giving up on our marriage"? He went over the whole statistics how relationships change after WLS. That seriously upset me. It so hurt my feelings that he would be selfish and not think about me or my health. Now we have been married for 10 years so not sure if maybe he's just being a little dramatic or sadistic anywho thats my story thought I would share.
