  1. Help-- I was banded July 10th by Dr. Ortiz in Mexico--went back for the first fill on August 25th. 2cc on smaller band. At first everything was fine. I certainly had restriction but could eat mushy foods. Over the past 3 weeks it has gradually tightened up and since Friday I have not been able to keep even Water down. Does anyone know a doctor that is in driving distance from Columbia SC where I can get an un-fill tomorrow. I have almost constant nasuea and pain. I hope that the band hasn't slipped but I would give my right arm for a glass of water!
  2. I was banded by Dr. Ortiz on July 10th. So far so good! I was originally scheduled with Dr. Lopez, but after reading the posts on this site--I changed. The experience was fantastic. I enjoyed it so much that I have my cousin going down and will be banded August 25th also! Her name is Liz you should be able tell from her Philadelphia accent. I am going to see if I can get a fill on the 25th also--so I can be with her. Maybe we will run into you at the clinic or hotel!
  3. I was banded Monday July 10th. If I hadn't been in Mexico and had a day of flying, I would bhave been back to work on Wednesday (light duty). This was way easier than I had anticipated.
  4. I was banded by Dr. Ortiz on Monday of this week and feel really good. I was on Clear Liquids but have had some Soups and ate a peach last night without any problems. Did you have a easy time at the beginning? It sounds like the problems started with the fill and that makes me nervous. I was planning on just watching my weight and when I plateau--go ahead and make an appointment for a fill. I hope you are feeling better!
  5. I have lap band surgery scheduled for July 8 with Dr. Lopez. Has anyone else used him?
