Hi there! I know whatever i can say to you can be easier said than done! I was banded on April 9th and i had a horrible time in recovery and was actually admitted to the hospital over night. The next couple of days i had changed my protein drink about 3-4 times, finally i found one that i like its made just for women and not chalky nor does it leave that nasty taste! Than i got out of that stage and went into solids and thought i had turned in to a bulimic person and throwing up after everything i ate! But trust me it gets better and i think to myself everyday i am so happy that i did this for MYSELf! You say you have failed, actually if you have failed you would not have taken this step to better your health and life! Girl, just think to yourself i can do this!! -
Ok so... I want ur clothes first of all... Second of all i want to walk with you gals... I have only lost 17lbs. but i didnt loose any b4 surgery!!! That is bad huh?

I excercise a lot i think! I go to the gym a lot but i bet i need to walk MORE i didnt loose any weight b4 surgery and i am 1 month post op and i am down 17lbs. is that good bad what was urs? I am sad that i havent lose even 20!!!!

It just feels like, you can not use your stomach muscles. Everytime i laid down i had someone push me up because i could not use my muscles. I promise you that it is not half as bad as what you are thinking. The worst part i think was sitting in the hospital 2 hours before surgery and getting yourself all worked up and nervous...

Hello there, what you are going through is normal. I was so scared b4 my surgery... But its not that bad, honestly! I was banded on the 9th of April... The first couple of hours right after surgery were the worst for me, and that i was ok. It feels like you just had a c-section and can not use your stomach muscles. The gas is the worst of it all, very uncomfortable!! But they will give you awesome pain meds. My surgery was on Thursday and Sunday was Easter, and i was dressed and ready to go! As far as the weight loss remember it did not come on over night so do not expect it to come off overnight! It is A LOT eaiser than you can anticipate! Be patient and remember after about 30 days of eating right it becomes a habit, just stick with it! Good luck and don't worry you will do just fine!!!
